The following reflection questions need to be answered once you have completed an on-campus college or university visit. That means you have visited a college or university campus. Please look over the list of questions before your visit so that you are prepared to get accurate responses for each. Each response needs to be TYPED out and include complete sentences.

For each question area below, answer with information that you gained while on campus and from flyers, documents, or other materials that were shared with you on the campus tour.
What major or degree program(s) did you check into while on the campus? How many majors or degrees are offered at this school? What degree programs is this school known for? What major or degree do you plan to obtain?
What pre-requisite exam scores or other requirements are needed to be eligible to apply for this particular school? Be specific.
When you attended the campus and took a tour did you talk with students who are currently attending the campus? What do they like or not like about the campus? What kind of personality does the campus portray to you and prospective students? Were you able to talk with faculty in your particular area of interest?
What is the early admission deadline to be accepted? What is the regular admission deadline? Do they have rolling admissions dates?
Academics
How much time do students typically spend on homework? How much writing and reading are expected? What is the average class size of introductory classes? How widely used are teaching assistants on your campus? What is the average class size of upper-division courses?
Financial Aid
What is your average financial aid package? What is the typical breakdown of loans versus grants? What percentage of students receive college grants? What is the average college debt that students leave with? What work-study opportunities are there?
Graduation Track Record
What is your four-year graduation rate? What is your five-year graduation rate? What does it take to graduate in four years? What percentage of freshmen return for sophomore year?
Student Life
What kind of dorm choices are there? What percentage of student live on campus? Do most students go home on the weekend? What activities are offered to students? What clubs do you have on campus? Will the student life activities be what you need?
What are your next steps? Are you still interested in attending this college or university? Have your views changed about this college or university? How many years do you feel it will take for you to earn your degree and be ready for the work force?
College Visitation Information
Make sure to include the following information about your visit.
Date of your college or university visit. Must be within the last 6 months.Who did you arrange the campus visit with? Name of person.
Who did you take the campus tour with? Name of person
Turn in this typed and stapled together reflection document to the Senior Project turn-in box located in the front office or in F115 by the assignment due date.
You are also REQUIRED to include documentation that you actually attended the College or University visit. This documentation can include the following:
- Email or letter of your scheduled tour
- Business card signed by the person who gave you the tour
- Email or letter from the person you took the tour with
- Picture evidence of you on a tour with your tour guide or school representative
