A Special Occasion:In two very short years - July 2015 - Ben Uri will
celebrate its first centenary
We are looking for colleagues across all ages, professions and communities to join us on this exciting journey. Please let us know if you passionately share our vision of a large centrally located gallery and museum for 'everyone' telling the stories of immigrant communities' journeys to London and challenges of identity and integration through their artists and their art.
We seek a broad range of skills and experience as detailed below.
- Property- Actively engaged in the London market as developer, investor or agent
- Fund Raising- Support the Board's capital and revenue campaigns through building a network of ambassadors, support committees and institutional and business partners
- Events- Arrange auctions, dinners, receptions, gallery visits &travel, sponsored marathons, walks, swims, slimsetc.
- Finance- Create innovative secure opportunities for supporters and investors to commit to the needs of the museum - revenue and capital in the most tax efficient manner from home & abroad. Drive the management accounting presentations at Board meeting
- Secretarial/ HR- Ensure all regulatory returns are made on time - managelegalresources and add experienced HRinput
- Marketing, PR, Web & Social Media- Further professionalise oursuccessful campaigns to maximise exposure andopportunities
- Wellbeing- Assist and guide our team in developing our programmes to maximise impact and funding within new Health Service and Local Government structures
- Learning and Outreach- Bring a wide knowledge and expertise to expand our already successful local and national programming
- Business to Business- Help refine and expand our Preferred Partnerships where Ben Uri develops a productive marketing campaign for the preferred partner company in return for varying levels of cost

- Continue to enhance our world-class collection adding yet greater depth and range so it is seen and explored across all boundaries

- c. 50,000 sq. ft. sustainable self-financing Museum with local, national and international visitor and community engagement at its heart
- Located within an easy short walk of a major National Gallery or Museum or within the centre of a major transport and cultural tourist hub
- Tell the story of 20th century and contemporary migration to London from all the principal émigré communities and artists' perspectives
- Be a catalyst for other great cities in the UK and abroad to similarly explore, embrace and celebrate different émigré cultures as equals within their own diverse societies
- Recognised as the best, most interesting and engaging art and migration museum in the world
