Guild Matinee – The Christmas Heart
When: Sunday 12th November Time: 2.00pm
When a teenage boy desperately needs a heart transplant on Christmas Eve, his family and neighbours’ forty year tradition of lining their quaint street with Christmas luminaries is put on hold. When his parents, Ann and Mike, pray for a donor on a stormy night, the neighbours suddenly realize their luminaries could have a deeper purpose.

Resource Team Meeting Notes
- The Resource Team decided that the Parish Council Treasurer and Rector’s Warden should speak to the parish to encourage the use of EFT/Direct Debit for collection giving.
- The Finance Committee met to discuss the Resource Team Budget 2018 and to undertake the tri-annual review of fees charged by the parish eg. parking, hall hire, Memorial Garden, Weddings and Funerals etc
- The Annual Parish Dinner at Rathmines Bowling Club is on 16th November, 6 pm for a 6.30 pm meal. Archdeacon Sonia Roulston will be the guest speaker. There will be tables of 10 for a two-course meal with tea and coffee afterwards. Cost is $30 per person. Please put your name on the list in the foyer and pay the amount to Linda no later than 5th November.
- There will be an Emergency Evacuation Drill during the services on Saturday
21.10 and Sunday 22.10.17
- There is an Advent Concert planned in our church with liturgical music, carols and hymns. It will be on 3rd December at 3.30pm – 5.30 pm. More details in the Parish Newsletter.
- Volunteers for the counting roster are needed. The new roster commencesin February 2018. Please speak to Richard Turnbull if you are interested.
- Volunteers needed to dust the church pews each week on a Saturday afternoon. Please speak to Linda Carter if you are interested.
- The Treasurer’s Report included the following:
- The average weekly plate giving for 5 weeks from 28.8 to 25.9 was $842.00.
- Previously the weekly average was $1,220.00
- Weekly EFT giving is $584.50 and this amount is consistent throughout the year
