Uppsala University hereby declares the following position available at the Center for Gender Research.
A full time researcher with focus on family and kinship, at the Center for Gender Research for six months starting August 2016, with the possibility of a six month extension.
The Centre for Gender Research at Uppsala University is an interdisciplinary unit and has three main tasks:
- Teaching
- Research
- Research information
Duties: The duties include research, which should result in an application for external funding for a research projects. The project will be located at the Center for Gender Research, and it should have a gender perspective with focus on the topic that the current employment concerns. The project could include researchers from different disciplines.
The position can also include certain research administrative tasks and teaching. The person that is appointed is expected to take active part in the Centre’s seminars and contributing to the development of the Centre's research environment.
Eligibility: To be eligible for employment as a researcher, the applicant must have a PhD or equivalent. We are looking for researchers from diverse disciplines, applying gender perspectives, and who have the personal characteristics required to meet the demands of the position well. The work requires the ability to work independently as well as the demonstrated capacity to interact with others both within academia and in the wider community. Particular emphasis will be placed on the intended research project.
The application should include a short CV, project plan, and motivation for why the applicant wishes to pursue research at the Center for Gender Research during the current period, a list of publications and other documents that the applicant wishes to refer to.
