Ode to a St. Louis Blues Hockey team

By: Aleksi Kulmala

The feeling in the arena is awesome,

Fans are waving their flags and singing songs,

The national anthem is coming from the arena stereos,

Fans are clapping,

Goalkeepers are going to goal and starting line ups are ready to match puck off,

The sticks clap together when the referee drop the puck,

Oshie wins the faceoff to St. Louis Blues,

The feeling in arena is incredible,

Fans are making waves in a stand,

When St. Louis scores people are going crazy and they sing Stanley Cup music,

But the way is still long to biggest trophy,

Still two period’s time,

Hits, PUMM!

Goals, Hurry!

Saves,Hoahh!

Penalties,Triit,

And the most important,

Will to win,

When the last period starts players are feeling big pressure,

St. Louis Blues is winning 4-3, but the Detroit Red Wings can make anything in just one period,

The last faceoff in middle ice,

Again Oshie wins the puck,

He passes it to Tarasenko,

Tarasenko have had unbelievable rookie season in NHL,

Now he has change to win Stanley Cup,

He skates quickly towards Detroit's goal,

He makes a red herring and he made it,

The empty goal is in front of him,

He moves the puck to goal,

And the audience shouts hurry many times,

When the horn horns last time St. Louis Blues' players "run" to hug themselves,

They have just win Detroit Red Wings in Stanley Cup's final 7th game site of 6-3,

The captain David Backes is invited to go and take the Stanley Cup to his hands,

When he gets it to his hands he shouts yeaaaaahhhhhh and then he kiss the trophy,

T.J Oshie is coming next to take the trophy he was also prize with the best player of playoffs,

So this was the year of St. Louis Blues.
