SUMMARY
Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Database and OfficeManager will maintain and maximize use of TCMU’s database systems for sales and development purposes. Successful candidate will also function as office manager assisting with office systems technology including phone system and workstations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
  • Prepare for database expansion by studying plans and requirements for upgrades and expansion of systems
  • Keeps senior management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems.
  • Research and suggest upgrades for hardware and software by assessing transaction processing and database production options.
  • Maintains database performance by troubleshooting problems.
  • Accomplishes platform upgrades and improvements by supervising system programming.
  • Secures database by developing policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Assists with basic phone and office systems troubleshooting and referral to outsourced IT support
  • Manages the ordering and organization of office supplies and materials
  • Performs bank deposits twice weekly

Job responsibilities allocated as follows: Database management, 25- 30 hours/week; office management (bank deposits, office supply ordering, basic IT support for office staff), 10-15 hours/week

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors of Arts required in computer science or related field.
2+ years in database management
Demonstrated excellence in organization, creativity, and enthusiasm for the mission.
This is a full-time, position with benefits.
Salary range: commensurate with experience

EXPERIENCE

2+ years experience preferred. Must be proficient in database management. Experience with Blackbaud products preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English, bi-lingual preferred

REASONING ABILITY

Must have good analytical and logical reasoning skills

Must be a good problem solver

Must exhibit exceptional judgment when managing staff and collaborating with colleagues

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must hold a South Carolina drivers license and have reliable transportation that may be used for work related travel.
