- Elected, constitutional position which involved the overall responsibility for managing the day-to-day affairs of local 1184 bargaining unit terms and conditions of employment.
- Acted as a chief negotiator, lobbyist, trainer, and contract administrator for 9,000 employees with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools non-instructional personnel.
- Duties included: Co-Chairperson labor management, engagement, grievance and arbitration as an act of dispute resolution, health and benefit committee, professional developed training for workforce, along with developing learning opportunities in vocational skills in association with Florida International University.

- Chief Negotiator for all AFSCME local 1184 contract agreements from 1997-2015. These were three year successor agreement with annual reopeners on wages and compensatory benefits. Additionally, participated in preparing all grievances and arbitration disputes as representative of member, witness, and managed unfair labor practices (ULP’s) for the local along with legal counsel.

- Facilitated learning for students enrolled in FIU Bachelor’s degree programs, both online and in the classroom instruction.
- Developed course syllabus, prepared exams, managed course learning modules, and confirmed students’ proficiency in course learning objectives.
- Developed content and taught undergraduate students in the area of labor and employment relations, global economies with domestic social economic impact on communities across borders, and workplace diversity; and mentoring students along with labor activists.
- In 2012, organized panel discussion of African American unionists regarding the contribution of unions and non-union labor history on black workers and communities in the State of Florida. 50 attendees participated in the event.
