WARM-UP: 1) A-Z, #’s and Pledge
1) Teach new family member signs pg. 123. Show structure for how to
make a statement about family members and how to ask questions about
family members.
2) Teacher facilitates guiding and practicing drills A1 and A2.
3) Steal the Bacon to review new vocabulary
4) Introduce the ASL phrase “HAVE DEAF” for asking if a family has Deaf
members? Demonstrate structures for asking if someone has Deaf family
members and responding to this question positively and negatively.
5) Discuss the use of the sign WHO and how it is NOT conceptually accurate
in a sentence like “I have a brother who is Deaf.”
6) Do drill B1
