First paragraph: Introduction. Don’t go over everything about your chosen person. You’re basically telling the committee who you are nominating and that they deserve the award.
I would like to nominate Pope John Paul II for your prestigious award. As the Pope of the Catholic Church from 1978 until his death in 2005, John Paul II was revered as one of the most influential people of the 20th century.
Second paragraph: How your nominee was of service to the community/world. Go over what this person did that makes him/her special.(What he/she did)
Throughout his years as Pope, John Paul II worked tirelessly to improve the Catholic Church’s relationship with Judaism, Islam, and the Eastern Orthodox Church. He was instrumental in ending communism in his native Poland and spoke to the world about the essential necessity for peace.
Third paragraph: How your nominee impacted the community/world.(How it affected the world)
Because of Pope John Paul II’s determination to bring about world peace, leaders of countries were more open to compromise. A World Day of Prayer for Peace was held in October 1986 where more than 120 representatives of different religions and Christian denominations spent a day together with fasting and praying for peace.

As you can see, Pope John Paul II has devoted his life to the service of others. His work with third world countries and dedication to the promotion of peace makes him a worthy recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
