Researching an Engineering Career: Activity 1.1.5c - Brochure

After navigating to the PLTW page of my website at kevinwhitetlc.weebly.com, you can begin searching for an engineering career that interests you. If you can’t find one choose a few at random and see if one peaks an interest after exploring each briefly. Feel free to use various research tools: google, wikipedia, or bing to begin finding a general overview of the career before you start researching. Try to avoid using the text from Wikipedia for the base of your research. Use the links on my website to view some helpful sites to get started or just try a variety of searches and see what looks like a valuable source:

  • Does not have any spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Uses an academic/professional tone as you read content.
  • Site looks professional and legitimate in terms of its appearance.
  • Site has a recognizable connection to major organizations, corporations, or otherwise notable institutions.

Once you have found location(s) where you can research extensively, consider these questions, find as many answers as possible. The first page is relating to your research, the second page is based on your opinions, thoughts and reflection.

Be sure to answer the following questions to guide your research and prepare you for your assignment, you can not start your brochure until it is complete.

Mark any elements that you incorporated from your research into your drawing with a number. Then describe what it is, or how it relates to the career, in the right column.
