Assignment #4, Due The Last Week and On-Half of Class
Presentation of Your Watershed
This assignment will be a continuation of the water body assessment you completed in assignments #2 and #3. In a brief conference type presentation, you are to tell the rest of the class about your water body. Talk requirements:
- Total length - 15 minutes. If it is clear that you will measurably go over that time limit, I will cut you off.
- Use, but do not go overboard on, visual aids.
- Be able to field, without notes, reasonable questions about your water body, particularly those related to non-point source pollution issues.
Structure of your talk:
- An overall description of your water body. How big is it, where does the water come from, what are the uses of the water body - primary and secondary, what are the land uses, and how it would be categorized to a lay audience?
- What you feel is the primary non-point source pollution threat to the water body and why.
- How that non-point source pollution would be best managed.
