Young Europe Forum

Young Europe Forum 2011 is the next edition of the annual international conference which has been organised for three years by Jagiellonian Club – an institution constantly supporting the development of civil society in the Central and Eastern European countries. Previous edition of Forum attracted a great interest. We invited more than 10 world-class experts, we hosted over 40 participants from 10 countries.

Common history, traditions and the specific geopolitical conditions - are the main factors that should bring Eastern European countries closer. The meeting of young people creates the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences referring to the public life in the countries of the participants. The idea, on which the Forum focuses, is related to the development of regional cooperation, that in the future is to enable socio-economic development.

Successful implementation of the previous editions of the project makes us look into the future with high expectations. The organizers expect the participation of 50 people from 14 countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine.

Among the invited participants of the conference there will be: young experts, scientists, journalists, social activists, ambitious students - all who may have a real impact on creating the local and regional civil society or elites in their countries. The conference will be held on 3-8 July 2011 in Krakow. It will be based on four blocks themes: economic, socio-political, cultural and cooperation in the region. Among the experts who we plan to invite to participate in the conference are: Vaclav Klaus and Zbigniew Brzezinski.
