CCF Telephone Conference Meeting Minutes 1/21/14

Attendees in the room were Maggi Thomas, CCFMU manager; Janie Ross and Angela Jenkins, CCFMU analysts. There were 49 participants on the call.

  1. Introduction of Angela Jenkins, new CCF analyst. Angela’s assigned counties are the following:

Technical Assistance- Alcona, Antrim, Calhoun, Ionia, Ingham, Kalkaska, Lenawee, Livingston, Mecosta, Midland, Oceana, Osceola, & Wexford.

Reviewer- Alcona, Ionia, Kalkaska, Livingston, Oceana, & Wexford.

  1. The CCFMU will have a part-time fiscal analyst added to the CCFMU team. Interviews are completed. Begin date is unknown at this time. A Question was asked by Sandi Metcalf, as to what qualifications were being sought out for the fiscal analyst position? Maggi replied, “all of the candidates for this position were master’s level accountants and some were licensed CPA’s.”
  2. Sadie Quinlan and Jasmine Hudson were hired as project interns for the CCFMU. Their primary responsibility will be the CCF conference; they will be with us for one semester, starting 1/23/14.
  3. Cheryl Thompson has retired as of 12/30/13. Sue Beattie has taken over the RDSS billing. Noel Thelen will assistas needed with the tether technician assignments. Cheryl’s vacancy will be filled.
  4. Heather Rosales is scheduled to return from leave on February 17, 2014.
  5. Terri Gilbert’s last day with the Bureau was Friday January 17th. Dr. Herman McCall has assumed responsibilityover the three state facilities and Juvenile Justice Programswithin the Bureau. The CCFMU and Title IV-E will report to Bernell Wiggins, deputy director of Children’s Services Administration.
  6. The CCF Handbook was revised and implemented in May of 2013. The CCFMU will begin new revisions of the CCF Handbook the week of February 3rd. Please contact Maggi Thomas () if you have input regarding the revisions. Sandi Metcalf asked, “Is there going to be a committee to review the CCF Handbook?” Maggi responded, “There will be no committee, the CCFMU will be reviewing the handbook and those that want to be included can do so by phone.”
  7. A request for volunteers was made for the Performance Based Contract/Child Care Fund Task Force committee (PBC/CCF). Member volunteers are still needed. Please contact Maggi Thomas at if you would like to volunteer.
  8. CCF Conference planning committee meeting will be scheduled for 2/19/14. Notice will be sent out prior to the conference call to committee members.
