From Cleveland, Ohio: Take I-71 south to U.S. 30. Go west on U.S. 30 to Fourth St./Crestline exit. Turn left at end of exit ramp and proceed to stop light. At stop light turn right and then veer right onto St. Rt. 314. Go approximately 7 miles and turn left on Steam Corners Rd. Mid-Ohio is one mile on the left. Approx. Travel Time: 1 hour, 20 minutes

SUPPLEMENTAL REGULATIONS
Sanction # 06-PDX-24-P
This event will be held under the 2006 SCCA General Competition Rules (GCR) as amended by the 2006 SCCA Time Trials Rules (TTR) and as further amended by the 2006 "FASTRACK" published in "Sports Car" Magazine. Further amendments may also be published in these Supplemental Regulations. Time Trial Rules may be downloaded from the SCCA web site (www.scca.org) then select "club racing" (the upper right tab) then "Cars and Rules" in the left column.
REGISTRATION: Entry forms must be completed and mailed with your check to Starla McCauley, Registrar, 729 East Central Avenue Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. Make check payable to WESTERN OHIO REGION, SCCA. A $25 fee will be charged for any check returned by the bank. Entry forms received after September 15 will be required to pay the late entry fee of $25. A full refund, less $50 will be made if the entry is withdrawn prior to September 15. No refunds for cancellations after September 15. No refunds for "no shows". Any "overnight" entries MUST be sent so as to require NO signature for delivery or special pick-up. After you register, it is highly recommended that you check the web site for WOR (www.worscca.org) to confirm your number. Correct numbers must be on cars prior to tech. At the discretion of the event organizers, any entry may be refused without giving any reason for such refusal. Due to track and instructor constraints, entries are limited to 85. Late entries or entries in excess of 85 may be allowed by the Chief Steward, Event Chair, or the Registrar.
DRIVER ELIGIBILITY: Holders of current SCCA National or Regional Competition Licenses, Time Trials (Solo I) Novice Licenses, Time Trials (Solo I) Competition License, FIA License (if SCCA member), or SCCA Competition License Novice Permit may compete in this event. Individuals who hold a valid driver’s license from any State or Territory of the United States shall also be eligible in the “Novice” category. Safety gear must meet GCR (for race cars) and TTR requirements for street-driven, Novice vehicles. Drivers must be dressed properly. Minimum apparel shall be long pants, long sleeved shirts, and shoes which fully cover the foot at least to the ankle. Please refer to TTR 3.1.3.2 for more information. All helmets shall meet Snell M-90 requirements or better.
RUNNING ORDER: Cars will be allowed on the track as they present themselves to the Pit/Grid Marshal. Passing will not be allowed in the novice group except as allowed by the Chief Steward and the rules governing passing will be announced at the track. The event schedule will be published, but WOR reserves the right to change or alter the schedule to meet the needs of the event. It is your responsibility to keep abreast of all changes.
SCALES may NOT be available at this event.
WAIVER: Everyone entering the track must sign both the track and SCCA waiver. Passes must be shown to enter the track. There will be no exceptions.
TECH: All driver and vehicle safety equipment must meet current GCR and TTR specifications. Driver's head/helmet must NOT protrude above the vehicle roll cage, roll bar or roll hoop during any part of the competition. Cars must be re-inspected by the Chief of Tech if involved in an incident or if the vehicle is reported as leaking any fluids. All entrants must have a vehicle logbook complete with pictures and logbook number, EXCEPT STREET CARS. Please fill in the date and event name prior to visiting tech. Please have your tech sheet filled out completely and placed on the windshield/front of your car and have your car and gear ready for inspection. Cars driven by novices, which are not race prepared, are required to be teched as well. All OEM safety equipment must be installed and functioning properly. All cars will be issued a tech sticker which must remain on the car for the entire event. No car will be allowed on the track without a tech sticker.
INSURANCE: Participant insurance will be provided in at least the minimum amount required by the SCCA.
PADDOCK: You may park anywhere in the paddock provided you do not block the main paddock roads, pit entrance, pit exit areas, concession, tower or other specially marked areas. A pit and paddock speed limit of 5 mph will be strictly enforced.
EMERGENCY LANES: must be clear at all times for emergency traffic.
INTOXICANTS: Use of intoxicants is prohibited during the event. Anyone found to be using intoxicants during the event, or illegal drugs at any time while on the property, will be ejected from the property. Drivers are responsible for their crew and guests and must conform to the rules of the track after the event.
GENERAL RULES: The track concession stand may be open for lunch. Do not bring pets to the track. Do not dump oil, gas, coolant, or other fluids anywhere except into approved containers. Worn-out and damaged parts MUST be disposed of properly. You must take everything you bring to the track with you when you leave. Use caution and common sense when raising your car and supporting it on jack stands. The paddock area is grass, not pavement, so it is recommended that you use plywood or metal plates beneath your jacks and jack stands. No glass containers are allowed on the property. Passengers are not permitted in any vehicle except instructors
VEHICLES (for clarification of any rule please see the most current SCCA Time Trial Rules)
ALL VEHICLES MUST PASS A SAFETY INSPECTION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS PRIOR TO BE ALLOWED ON TRACK. ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED IF A CAR FAILS TO PASS THIS SAFETY INSPECTION.
VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY: Open to all vehicles conforming to the GCR and TTR except open-wheel cars. Numbers will be issued on a first come, first served basis. STREET CARS ARE ALLOWED, but see requirements, infra. All loose items must be removed for the interior and trunk area, e.g., spare tires, jacks, and "boom boxes".
1. Level 1 (PDX) -
At Level 1 events, any car that is street legal will be waived from the roll bar/roll cage requirement, except for Convertibles
and Targa top automobiles. These cars must have either a roll bar meeting Section 18 of the TTR or a factory hard top using the factory mounting hardware and mounting points. No exceptions to this rule allowed. For the purposes of this
determination only, street legal will be defined as a car which meets local requirements for inspection (if applicable) and the car in question must possess CURRENT, VALID registration. If these requirements are not met, then the roll bar
requirement defaults to the rules listed below for Level 2 Time Trials events.
2. Vehicle Requirements:
• Appearance neat and clean. Specifically, cars show excessive damage, structural rust, or that do not bear the prescribed identification marks shall not be approved for competition.
• Tires- 120 mph-rated or better unless otherwise specified or controlled and not showing cord at any part of the tire.
• Brakes- Shall be pedal-operated, working directly on each wheel, and in good working order. Rolling brake tests are prohibited.
• Body Panels - Shall be securely mounted. Fender skirts and hub caps shall be removed.
• Exhaust System - Shall be directed away from the body and shall terminate at or behind a point which is equidistant from the front and rear hubs.
• Hood and Engine Compartment - Shall be securely fastened. Battery shall be securely mounted with positive terminal covered. Throttle return shall be consistent and positive (more than one spring must be used for redundancy).
• Suspension and Steering - Shall be of suitable design and in good working order.
• Leakage and Caps - There shall be no visible fluid leaks. Monza (flip-top) gas caps are prohibited.
• Lights- Brake lights on cars so equipped and taillights on Formula cars shall operate properly.
• Seats - Shall be securely mounted and include an upper brace if non-stock and non-FIA.
• Seat Belts and Shoulder Harness - Shall conform to Time Trials rules as listed in section 17.
• Passenger Seat Back - If a folding seat, it shall be securely bolted or strapped in place.
• Roll Cage/Roll Bar - Shall comply with Section 18 Level 1 PDX rules.
• Mirrors- Shall provide the driver visibility to the rear of both sides of the car.
• All cars must have a passenger seat with a 3 point seat belt, both meeting DOT requirements at a minimum. Passenger seats with the same safety equipment as the driver seat are highly recommended.
• Driver safety Equipment shall comply with Section 17.23, Driver Safety Equipment. The inspector performing the inspection may affix a dated, non-removable sticker or decal to helmet (if available) that comply with Section 17.23.2.
3. Any car that is judged to be in an unsafe operating condition at any time during the event shall be prohibited from further participation until deficiency is corrected.
• The mounts for video/photographic equipment shall be of a safe and secure design and are subject to approval by the Chief Tech and Safety Inspector. Helmet mounted cameras may be approved on an individual basis.
DRIVER SAFETY EQUIPMENT
1. While on course, minimum apparel shall be long pants, long sleeved shirts, and shoes which fully cover the foot at least to the ankle. Additionally, helmets which meet Snell M-95 requirements or better are required. These helmets may be open or full face style. In the case of race-prepared (non street legal) cars, it is recommended that students be fully covered by at least one layer of an accepted fire resistant material (listed in TTR Section 17.23).
2. All drivers in open, Targa type, or T-top cars running with the roof panels removed must wear suitable eye protection.
