NEWSLETTER TO PARENTS/GUARCHANS AT THE END OF THIRD TERM, 2015/2016 SESSION.

DEAR PARENTS/GUARDIANS,

We are grateful to God who has seen us to the end of this term, which is also the end of the 2015/2016 academic year.

Our SS3 students wrote their WAEC and NECO Senior school certificate examinations. It is our prayer that they all do well in these examinations.

NEW APPROVED SCHOOL FEES

New approved fees by Federal Ministry of Education is attached herewith for your perusual and compliance. It is also reflected in your childs bill.

Some students are yet to pay their fees up to date. Parents of such students are advised to clear the outstanding fees before resumption. All students are to pay their school fees through the REMITA PLATFORM (TSA). No student will be allowed into the school without evidence of payment. Cash or bank draft will not be accepted.

LEADRSHIP TRAINING FOR COLLEGE PREFECTS

Citizenship & Leadership Training Centre a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development would be organizing a two-week leadership training for prefects from 14th – 26th August 2016. Interested students are to indicate interest early enough. Call 08131820008.

Take off date for Ughelli is Sunday 14th August, 2016. Time is 1.00pm.

VENUE

Citizenship & Leadership Training Centre, Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South L.G.A. Delta State.

COURSE FEE

₦20,000. Each participant is expected at the programme with medical Certificate of fitness signed by a recognized medical officer and two recent passport photograph.

REQUIREMENTS

Each participant is expected with the following items.

·  Cutlery: spoon, fork, knife & drinking cup

·  1 pair of bath room slippers

·  1 towel and toilet requirements

·  2 bed sheet and pillow cases

·  1 mosquito net (optimal)

·  1 torch light with batteries

·  PT Dresses

·  1 pair of canvass

·  Loose jeans trousers and any other trousers

·  2 pair of white socks or stockings.

·  Shirts & T- Shirts

·  Personal clothes or National dress for evening and Sunday wear

Crested vest and printed folder will be available at cost on request.

DRESS CODE

Sponsors should ensure that participants clothing’s are not indecent and skimpy.

BOARDING HOUSE MATTERS

I wish to remind parents that items such as cooking stove, pressing iron, cell phone, walkman, disc man, MP3, iPod, mufti etc remain banned and should not be brought to the school.

Each student is required to bring back the following items based on his or her class:

·  JSS 2 1kg Detergent and 500ml Detol

·  JSS3 1kg Detergent and 750ml Hapic

·  SS 1 1kg Detergent and 300ml Air Freshener and one broom each.

·  SS 2 1kg Detergent and 300ml sniper

·  SS 3 1kg Detergent and delsat herbicide.

IMPROPER DRESSING

It has been noticed that some senior students wear tight-fitting trousers (pencil mouth), skimpy skirts, shirts and blouses with very tight sleeves. This act of improper dressing will no longer be tolerated.

Keeping of bushy hair style, perming of hair is a sign of unseriouness. Please advise your child/ward to desist from such habits.

HEALTH

Please equip your child/ward with the necessary items for the rainy seasons: rain boots, umbrellas or rain coats, cardigans hot balms, torchlight etc.

Advice them to always make use of the item when it rains. Do take your children/ward to the hospital for thorough check up and treatment before they come back to school.

GENERAL BEHAVIOUR/DISCIPLINE

Please join hands with the college to advise your children/wards to behave well.

Acts of misbehaviour that are rampant include:

·  Beating, slapping and using dangerous objects on junior students

·  Inflicting of injury/corporal punishment on junior students

·  Carelessness with personal belongings

·  Stealing

·  Use of or being possession of cell phones etc.

GENERAL RESUMPTION

All students are expected to resume on Saturday 17th September, 2016 any student who cannot return on the official resumption date should come the following Saturday

Be reminded that No student will be checked in on Sunday and weekdays after resumption.

THIRD TERM RESULT FOR 2015/2017 ACADEMC SESSION

Third term result for our students would be uploaded on the internet Monday 1st of August, 2016. Results are to be accessed using the scratch card.

The new approved fees from the Federal Ministry of Education would also be uploaded for confirmation and compliance through bills have been given to individual students.
