Preparing Electronic Submission in “Camera Ready" Format

Abstract:The abstract should be clear, descriptive and no longer than 250 words. It should provide a brief introduction to the main theme. This should generally be followed by a statement regarding the methodology, a brief summary of results. The abstract should end with a comment on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion. Abstracts are written in 8pt Times italic. In MSWord set paragraph format of abstract to indentation left and right each of 1.5 cm.

1. Introduction
This author kit is designed to assist you in preparing your submission; it is an exact representation of the format expected by the editor. This example paper provides all the information you require to comply with the Turkish Medical Informatics Conference‘17 submission standards.
The first named person is assumed to be the presenting author who should be registered to the Conference.
2. Typing Area and Typographical Style and Layout
The paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x 297mm), single column with a 5.5 cm margin at the top, a 4.2 cm margin at the bottom, 4.3 cm margins on the left and right. Lines are single spaced, justified.
The recommend font is Times New Roman. As a second choice, use Garamond. Only for tables and figures (illustrations) may you use Arial, Helvetica, Univers or other sans-serif fonts.
Recommended font sizes:
a. For the title: 22pt.
b. For names of the authors, the main text (including headings): 10pt.
c. For affiliations of the authors, abstract, key words, contact information of corresponding author, figures and tables: 8 pt.
d. References: 8 pt.
Please ensure there is a 22 pt blank line before and after the title!Centre the title (horizontally) on the page. Leave 22 pt blank line between title and the name and address of yourself (and of your co-authors, if any).
Type name(s) in 10 pt address(es) in 8 pt and centre them (horizontally) on the page. Use italics for addresses. Use 1.5 cm extra indentation on each side for the abstract.
Number section headings consecutively in Arabic numbers and type them in bold. Subheadings must be bold and italics. Keep headings and subheadings always flushed left. Keep two blank lines above a section heading. Only if you want to emphasize specific parts of the main text, use italics. Otherwise, use Roman.
3.General Organisation of the Paper
If selected, your paper will be published as part of the congress proceedings. After reduction, your paper will be directly reproduced from this camera-ready format, remember to take this into account in your preparation.
There are three types of paper considered for submission, these are:

Manuscript content should, in general, be organised in the following order:
- Abstract
- Key words
- Introduction
- Materials and methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments
- References
- Address for correspondence
4. Document Length Restrictions
Full papers accepted are limited to ten pages of single format. Only files in Microsoft Word or RTF are acceptable.
5. Format
Paper Title
The title of the paper should be in 22pt bold and be centred; the title should have 22pt. space above.
Authors
Author names should be in 10pt bold with spaces 22pt above and 10pt below. Full given names should precede the family name. Indexes to author addresses are superscript, sequential alphabetical lettering commencing at a (a,b,c…).
Author Affiliations
Author affiliations should be in 8 pt italic. The body of the text should begin one line below the last address line (8pt). The address for correspondence for the main author is to be included at the end of the paper following the references.

As described on page 1, Times 8pt italics.
Headings
Two levels of heading are allowed as follows:
- Level 1 (Heading1 format) -10pt, Times bold, left justified
- Level 2 (Heading2 format) -10pt, Times bold, italic, left justified
Body Text
The body of the text is defined as follows:
- 10pt TimesNew Roman font
- Single space
- There is 0.63 cm indentation for the first line except the lines after headings.
Bullets
There are two levels of allowed bulleting:
- This is the first bullet level
-This is a sub-bullet level
Enumerated Lists
Lists are sequentially numbers as follows:
1.First item.
2.Second item
Tables
Tables are sequentially numbered with the table legend and number above the table. Tables should be centred on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space (10 pt). Elements of a table should be single spaced; however double spacing can be used to show groupings of data or to separate parts of the table. Table column headings should be in 8 pt bold. Tables are referred to in the text by the table number as shown for Table 1.

References
All publications cited in the text should be included in a list of references following the text of the manuscript. References are sequentially numbered as they appear in the text. Reference numbers are indicated in square brackets.
Recommendations for references are:
- For a standard reference see [1] where the journal title appears in italics.
- For a book chapter see [2] where the book title appears in Italics.
- Books should be referenced as per [3] where the book title appears in italics.
- Thesis or dissertations should be referenced as [4].
- Web references should be as in [5].
9. Evaluation of Papers
All papers will be reviewed by two independent reviewers.
10. Deadlines & Submissions
Papers conforming to these guidelines must be sent online before August 11th, 2017. Authors whose submissions have been accepted for presentation will receive confirmation e-mail beforeSeptember 8th, 2017.
11. Publication
Papers will be published on the CD-ROM of the conference.
12. Acknowledgments
Remember to thank those that have supported you and your work.
