Various scientific discoveries will highlight the unfolding of religious doctrine as humans relate to what is known and unknown about the origin of the universe. In addition, religious expression impacting individualfreedoms and cross-cultural controversies will be explored.

Topic: Urban Nation: Voices of the Inner City
Urban Nation is a social movement that has not been officially defined. It is used by inner city populations (primarily Latino and African American) as a unifying, cultural identifier. Urban areas are the primary setting in which the art of expression has grown in multiple forms, conveying the urban experience. This seminar examines how Urban Nation identity is evolving and growing within urban settings and how the expressionism of this experience is changing the cultural landscape in the United States.

This online course offers a biographical examination of some of America’s great coaches. Through various readings, multimedia offerings, and collaboration, students will learn motivational strategies, techniques, and common characteristics of legendary athletic leaders. After critically reading, viewing, and listening to various course offerings, students will be required to write strong, properly formatted expository essays, submit timely and substantive discussion board posts, and successfully complete a final exam.

The purpose of this seminar is to introduce students to the world of books, from their earliest inceptions as scribbling on cave walls, through the printing revolution brought about by Gutenburg, up to their current incarnations as digital media. We will examine the history of books through lectures, discussions, and on-line projects.

This course will provide a review of drug product development and regulation leading to discussions on a variety of drug topics from Over-The-Counter, Behind-The-Counter, prescription, supplements, legal recreational substances (alcohol, tobacco) and illegal substances. The course will focus on contemporary issues related to various substances, allowing students’ input on the specific drug topics that will be discussed in class.
