CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE 27th JERUSALEM INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

The Jerusalem International Book Fair is organized by Ariel, Municipal Company, Ltd. Israel.

1. PLACE AND DURATION
(1) The Fair will be held at the Jerusalem First Station compound in Jerusalem from Sunday February 8-12, 2015.
(2) The Fair's Management reserves the right to cancel the Fair, to change its date and venue and to alter hours and duration of opening without responsibility for any loss or damage whatsoever.
(3) Should the Fair be canceled, the Fair's Management will refund the prepaid rent for stands.
2. EXHIBITORS
Israeli and foreign publishers, publishers' representatives, literary agents and electronic publishing companies are eligible to
exhibit books, periodicals, audio-visual and educational materials, posters, fine art reproductions and calendars, old prints, antique and rare books.
3. APPLICATION TO EXHIBIT
(1) The "Application Form" and the "Catalogue Entry Form" are to be sent to the Fair's Management before November 27, 2014, accompanied by a deposit of 25% of the rental fee (deposit is non-refundable). Exhibitors are reminded that exhibit space will be allocated in order of registration. Late entries will be accepted only if exhibit space is still available.
(2) The Fair's Management reserves the right to refuse any application or to accept it only under certain conditions; all this is at its exclusive discretion and necessitates no justification.
4. RENT

5. PAYMENT
(1) Rental for stands is due by January 29th, 2015.
(2) All payments are made to the Ariel Municipal Company Ltd. - Jerusalem International Book Fair, P.O.Box 26280, Jerusalem 9126201, Israel or directly to our bank, Ariel Municipal Company Ltd., Bank Leumi, Agudat Sport Hapoel Yerushalayim 1, Jerusalem, Branch no. 901, Account no. 643300/99.

(3) Exhibitors who fail to pay their rent within the allotted time forfeit the right to participate in the Fair and remain liable for the rent. In such a case, the Fair Management may or may not re-let the stand or rental space.
(4) From January 29th, 2015 rent is required even if the exhibitor is prevented from attending the Fair for any reason whatsoever. If the organizers are able to let the unoccupied stand to another party, the original hirer must pay a sum equal to 25% of the rent as compensation for expenses.
6. STANDS
(1) Uniform stands, including exhibitor's name boards, will be provided by the Management of the Fair. They are set up ready for use and the books to be displayed can be placed on them without any additional expenditure.
(2) Additional equipment and furniture may be ordered for a fee. Order forms will be sent upon receipt of this application form and must be returned by January 15, 2015.
(3) Additional decorative display and signs are possible but must be authorized by the Fair Management
(4) Publishers who wish to use their own displays may rent floor space. In such a case, the units will be separated from each other by panels no more than 2.40 m in height and exhibitors are forbidden to exceed this height with their decorations without authorization.
(5) The exhibitor must keep his display on exhibition throughout the entire duration of the Fair. Removal before termination of the Fair is prohibited.
(6) Decorations which damage the stands are prohibited.
7. REGISTRATION, ASSEMBLY AND DISMANTLING
(1) Registration takes place on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 8.00 to 13.00 and on Sunday, February 8 from 8.30 to 16.00.
(2) Stands are available to exhibitors for display preparations from 8.00 am – 13.00 on Friday, February 6th, 2015 and on Sunday, February 10 from 8.30 to 16.00. Assembly must be concluded at this time. / (3) Dismantling is allowed on Thursday, February 12 from 23.00 to Friday 13, 2015 at 15.30. All stand equipment and books, packed in cartons, are to be removed on that same Friday by 15.30. The Fair will not be responsible for any Books are equipment after that date.
8. RECEPTIONS, EVENTS AND PRESS CONFERENCES
Exhibitors wishing to organize receptions, events or conferences
must coordinate the events with the management of the Book Fair.
9. DISPLAYS
The Fair Management reserves the right to prohibit any displays liable to disturb the orderly organization of the Fair or to endanger visitors, notwithstanding any authorization that may previously have been given. According to Israeli law, it is forbidden to display works of a missionary nature.
10. SELLING
VAT (Value Added Tax) must be paid according to the law on all books not returned to their country of origin. Even books donated (charity, author's copies, samples, etc.) are not exempt from VAT.
11. CATALOGUE
The names of the exhibitors will be entered in the Fair catalogue free of charge. Exhibitors are required to submit the "Catalogue Entry" no later than November 27th, 2014. The Fair's Management does not accept liability for incomplete or incorrect entries and reserves the right to edit material for style and content. Exhibitors are invited to advertise in the catalogue according to the conditions mentioned under separate cover or on request.
12. EXHIBITORS ENTRY CARDS
Every publisher or professional that is represented at the Fair and are present at the Fair, will be eligible to one badge that gives them a free pass in to the professional meeting lounge (represented in a paid booth or as a none exhibiting participant).
13. INSURANCE
Exhibitors must take out their own insurance against theft, fire, loss, damage and third party risk. It is strongly recommended that exhibitors insure their property in their respective countries. The Jerusalem International Book Fair will take all necessary steps so that the property of exhibitors is protected as much as possible.
14. LIABILITY
Neither the sponsors nor managers nor their officers, employees or agents are responsible in any way whatsoever for any loss, theft, damage or injury of any kind suffered by persons or goods during their stay and accommodation at the Fair.
15. CLAIMS
Any claims of the exhibitor arising from the contract for exhibition at the Fair must be notified in writing to the Management: Jerusalem International Book Fair, P.O. Box 775, Jerusalem, 91007 not later than ten days after the close of the Fair. No claim will be considered if submitted after such time.
16. DISPUTES AND JURISDICTION
(1) The contract between the exhibitors and the Fair's Management is governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
(2) The place of performance and place of jurisdiction as regards said contract is Jerusalem, Israel.
(3) Any notice to be given by one party to the other should be sent by registered mail to the address appearing on the Application Form.
17. THE CONTRACT
(1) By signing the Application Form, the exhibitor obligates himself and his Company, his nominated representatives and agents to agree to comply with the conditions set forth herein.
(2) Any alterations of the Application Form by the exhibitor will be invalid. The Application Form should be returned to the Fair Management by November 27, 2014, at the latest.
18. NON-EXHIBITING PARTICIPANTS
Non Exhibiting participants may register to the fair for a fee of $ 250. Registration includes a Catalogue entry, access to the business center and participation in various events.
