Mumbai:: 27th June’13 and Chennai :: 29th June’13

Bangladesh is now actively looking for FDIs in several sectors such as Textiles including Home Textiles, Plastic, Light Engineering, ICT, Software Development, ITES, Jute and Jute Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Hospital & Medical Equipment, Agro, Jewellery Industry, Basic Chemicals, amongst others, to attract foreign investments in the country.

The Government of Bangladesh, in partnership with the IndiaBangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IBCCI) has requested the Confederation of Indian Industry to be their exclusive partner to facilitate a focussed investment promotion programme with Bangladesh.

The Government of Bangladesh has also indicated that they will provide all support to potential investors from India on the following facilities:

Land Allocation

Gas/Power/Electricity connection

Working Capital

Money for Factory Shed

Fast track documentation including Visa facilitation

As a part of this initiative, a very high level delegation from Bangladesh comprising of private sector representatives and entrepreneurs with specific project proposals who are looking for Joint Ventures will be available for one to one meetings with prospective Indian partners on 27th June’13 in Mumbai and 29th June’13 in Chennai.

The delegation will also comprise related Government officials to provide decisions on any query of the Indian investors.
