POST: / DIRECT MARKETING MANAGER
ACCOUNTABLE TO: / Head of Marketing & Communications
WORK LOCATION: / Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire
Occasional UK travel will be required
HOURS / 37.5 hrs per week
(Part time, 0.8 FTE minimum would be considered)
Flexibility of some home-working
CONTRACT TERM: / Permanent
REMUNERATION: / Up to £28,000 pa depending on experience
MAIN PURPOSE: / To promote Rock UK to an audience of both existing and potential customers and supporters through targeted direct marketing campaigns and strategies in order to support Rock UK’s charitable aims and objectives.

Specific Duties

  • Manage, develop and execute Rock UK’s direct marketing programme
  • Generate new customers through direct mail, emails and direct response advertising
  • Increase customer retention through direct communications
  • Increase customer profitability by encouraging product up-sell
  • Increase fundraising support from the Rock UK supporter base
  • Pre-campaign planning, including insight-driven creative testing of ideas and agreeing test structures
  • Working with various teams (commercial, sales and admin) to build consistently excellent DM activity
  • Manage and develop the Rock UK CRM database, bringing together data from all parts of the organisation
  • Manage purchased lists of prospective customers
  • Be up-to-date with data protection legislation and ensure that Rock UK is compliant
  • Ensure that all Rock UK centres receive proportional direct marketing support
  • Provide detailed reporting and analysis to explain the performance and demonstrate the success of DM activity
  • Manage a direct marketing budget
