INTERNAL:Senior Management Team, Airside Operations Controller, Passenger Service Agents, Load Controllers, Aircraft Turnaround Co-ordinators, Operational Managers, Security, Airport Fire Service, Air Traffic Control, Air Traffic Engineering and AGL
EXTERNAL: Passengers, Control Authorities, Airlines, Special Branch, Immigration, HM Customs and Excise, Department for Transport, Fixed Based Operator (FBO) and Service Providers
6. / MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:To assist and support in ensuring the smooth running of the airside operation in line with company, airline and regulatory policy. To ensure a safe and efficient working environment by adherence to all airside procedures outlined below, through airline procedures and regulatory documents including Civil Aviation Authority document CAP642 – Airside Safety Management
7. / MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
7.1 / To carry out Aircraft Marshalling duties
7.2 / To apply and remove ground power unit.
7.3 / To provide ground intercom for start ups.
7.4 / To assist with lift on/off & medical/transplant flights.
7.5 / To load & unload baggage for all aircraft.
7.6 / To assist in the maintaining the cleanliness of all terminal airside buildings
7.7 / To carry out aircraft towing and push back operations to agreed airport and airline procedures. This function may include performing basic engineering requirements for safe manoeuvring defined as Aircraft Brake Riding.
7.8 / To carry out basic turnaround services defined as potable water servicing, catering requirements and removal of gash bags
7.9 / To tow and align aircraft steps and deploy appropriate equipment such as PIGS and aircraft chocks to agreed airline procedures
7.10 / To carry out aircraft cabin tidying where required.
7.11 / To apply and remove air start unit as required.
7.12 / To complete bag reconciliation checks for all aircraft.
7.13 / To complete weekly inspections as defined in the airside operations procedures manual or otherwise notified by the Airside Operations Controller.
7.14 / To continually be aware of foreign object debris, and ensure any litter is picked up from ramp area.
7.15 / To carry out procedures for night stop aircraft.
7.16 / When required, to undertake refuelling of aircraft & fuel quality checks. Complete bridger fuel transfers, sign specialised fuel records. MaintainFuel Farm records.
7.17 / To ensure the safe evacuation of all airside passengers and staff to the allocated evacuation point on hearing the fire alarm, or in the case of a fire.
7.18 / To adhere to all airside safety procedures.
7.19 / To carry out passenger escorting where required.
7.20 / To carry out aircraft de-icing
7.21 / To carry out full aircraft cabin clean to agreed airline standards
7.22 / To carry out aircraft toilet servicing.
7.23 / To carry out ‘Aerodrome’ Operations defined as Runway anti-icing and snow clearing, aerodrome safeguarding, sweeping, runway inspections and assistance in performing duties contained within the airports Emergency Procedures Plan
7.24 / To carry out any other task, within your capability for the operational purpose of the airport and/or as requested by your line manager or Operations Director/Manager.

8.1 / To be aware of and adhere to applicable rules, regulations, legislation and procedures e.g. Equal Opportunities Policy, Co of Conduct, national legislation (Health & Safety, Data Protection).
8.2 / To maintain confidentiality of information acquired in the course of undertaking duties for the department.
