- Support the Fundraising Partnerships (FP) Manager in raising income from trusts, foundations and other grant-making bodies across the UK
- Maintain and develop systems to ensure a high-quality service to our trust supporters
- Contribute to the growth and development of Trusts & Foundations

Financial dimensions /
- With the FP Manager, work towards a £100k fundraising target and agree priorities
- Develop and implement pipelines within agreed budgets and timelines
- Help with pulling together financial reports with the FP Manager

- In consultation with the FP Manager plan and implement strategies for Trusts & Foundations
- Develop and grow the income generated through Trusts & Foundations

Develop HMUK’s Trusts & Foundations income stream /
- Achieve agreed income targets through researching and identifying suitable bodies to apply to current and new trust and foundation supporters
- Account manage and steward trust and foundation supporters through e-mail, telephone, written proposals and other forms of communication with the aim of ensuring their on-going and increasing support and developing good working relationships with them
- Work closely with the FP Manager, Health & Welfare and Creative Programme teams to develop innovative and persuasive proposals aimed at extending the support of existing supporters
- Produce update reports for trusts and other grant giving bodies providing details of the impact of previous donations
- Endure all donations from trusts and foundations are promptly and appropriately acknowledged
Generate new business /
- Use a broad range of research tools to identify new potential funders, matching them strategically to the work of HMUK
- Continue to develop a funding pipeline which will contain all of the trusts and foundations both warm and new
- Prepare and submit high quality funding proposals and budgets in accordance with timetables and application criteria in line with the funding portfolio
- Maintain accurate records, analysis and reporting of new business secured
Ensure all administration processes adhered to /
- Maintain accurate financial and client records (current and new business) using the database and excel files
- Contribute to the Fundraising operational strategy for trusts and foundations
- Help the FP Manager with pulling together financial figures for board reports and updates

- Support wider fundraising activities by being an effective member of the team
- Work co-operatively and thoughtfully across the whole organisation to ensure a high quality service is provided

- Undertake and identify relevant professional development activities and training as agreed with the FP Manager and/or Fundraising Director

Person Specification
TRUST AND FOUNDATIONS OFFICER
Essential knowledge /- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Good knowledge of and interest in music
- Good knowledge of trusts and foundations and their fundraising techniques and principles
