Staffing Solutions, Inc. Announces Opening of Career Café

Clayton based staffing firm takes new approach to one of the worst challenges in the history of St. Louis for job seekers.

Clayton, MO – March 9, 2010- Losing a job is not only bad from a financial perspective, but also from a psychological and social perspective. More and more people are tired of job searching on the computer alone at home in their robe. They feel isolated and have no place to turn to for ongoing support during their job search.

Staffing Solutions, Inc. believes no one has to, or should, feel isolated during their job search. The boutique agency is officially announcing the opening of the Staffing Solutions Career Café where applicants can come and enjoy a cup of coffee and the camaraderie of others, all in a warm and comfortable environment.

“Studies suggest that the brain is a highly social organ and needs interaction to develop, to regulate mood, to solve problems, and to be responsive and alert,” says Bonny Filandrinos, President of Staffing Solutions, Inc. “When people are in isolation, their brain waves slow down, and they become withdrawn.”

With the average duration of job search now up to 28.5 weeks, conducting a job search at home day-in-and-day-out, alone, can be socially isolating and trigger the “blues.” Job seekers functioning in this state of mind are not very appealing to potential employers.

Staffing Solutions, Inc. wants to offer a “coffee house” experience while providing a place for applicants to come to and conduct job search, research, and participate in peer networking activities in an energized, positive, and social environment. The café has free Wi-Fi, a coffee/tea station, as well as the agency’s own research library. Free seminars will also be held at the Career Café to provide job seekers career tips, news on the job market, and more. Staffing Solutions, Inc. has already lined up several speakers to discuss these hot issues. All of these resources are available to their applicants at no cost!
