Directions and Helpful Hints for Accessing the Online Resources
Logging into your account from a computer:
- Using your web browser, go to
- Enter your username: ______and password: ______
- Navigate the website using the tabs (Resources, Assignments, Reports) located at the top center of the screen.
Downloading and using the Big Ideas app:
- Open the App Store for your tablet or device.
- Search for the “Big Ideas Math” app.
- Once downloaded, open the app and enter your username and password.
- A screen will open with a picture of the textbook. Click on the icon to allow the book to download to your device.
*The book pages will always be accessible on your tablet or device whether you have the internet or not. If you do not have the internet, other resources such as tutorials, interactive quizzes, and extra practice problems will not be accessible.
Accessing the Student Dynamic eBook:
From the computer:
- Once logged into your account, click on the Resources tab, and then click on the Student Dynamic eBook box.
- Click the textbook icon.
- Find the page you are looking for by doing one of the following:
- Click the “Contents” link on the left hand menu. Choose the chapter and lesson.
- Enter the page number at the top center where it says “Page ____”
- Click the bottom center button and scroll until you find the page.
- IMPORTANT!If you do not enlarge the page, you will automatically be able
to use the interactive features. In order to use the interactive features with a zoomed
in screen, you MUST click the mouse arrow icon located at the bottom right hand side.
From the app:
- Once logged in, click on the textbook icon.
- Find the page you are looking for by doing one of the following:
- Click the “Contents” link on the left hand menu. Choose the chapter and lesson.
- Enter the page number at the top center where it says “Page ____”
- Click the bottom center button and scroll until you find the page.
- If you are connected to the internet all interactive features will automatically
be accessible.
Helpful hints while using the Dynamic Student eBook:
- At the opening of each new lesson, there are icons that link you to important tools.
Click the icons to access tools you may
need in that particular lesson such as
interactive math paper, graphic
organizers, and manipulatives.
- For an English or Spanish audio version of the book, click the blue link located on the black strip at the bottom of the page. Click on any problem or example to be read aloud.
- Struggling? Want to check over your answers? The top of the practice exercises provides links to answers to odd numbered problems and additional interactive practice problems.
Click the red check mark to obtain
answers to practice problems. Click here for
additional formative assessments.
- GeoGebra allows students to make links between geometry and algebra in a visual and interactive way. Locate GeoGebra connections and opportunities by the icon indicated below.

- Access video tutorials as indicated by the red play button.
- Can’t remember how to complete a problem? Refer to its corresponding example problem to help you!
Click the gold “3” and it will direct you back to the corresponding example.
Once you understand and you are ready to go back to the practice problems simply click the corresponding problems icon located on side.
