The July Elizabethtown Emmaus Gathering will be held on Saturday (July 16th) at Memorial United Methodist Church at 7:00 PM.

But at 6:00 PM we’ll be having a family potluck picnic! Emmaus will provide the meat, breads, paper products, utensils, and ice. We’re asking Emmaus Walk members to bring enough of the following for their family and some extra for others as follows:

∙ Walk 1 thru 69 (1984-1999) bring Salads

∙ Walk 70 thru 93 (2000-2004) bring Vegetables

∙Walk 94 thru 105 (2005-2008) bring Chips and/or Drinks

∙ Walk 106 thru 119 (2009-2011) bring Desserts.

If possible, please provide us with an appropriate number of family members that will attend the July Picnic, so we can be more efficient in ordering food. You can email those numbers to either Doug Shepherd or Sarah Hart by Thursday noon, July 14th.

At their June meeting the Emmaus Board voted to only mail via US mail the Emmaus Newsletter three times per year. This is due to our past newsletter printer/mailer going out of business, and the very significant price increase we have received from other similar providers. However, there will be a monthly email “flash” newsletter (similar to this one) and calendar sent to everyone we have a current email address on. Updated and/or new email addresses should be sent to Larry Holthouser at the following email address: . So please share this newsletter with your reunion group in case some of those members do not have access to email.
