Institutional accounts:

To set them on an institutional PubMed, you would need to set up a My NCBI account and then share those preferences. Here's a brief explanation of all the parameters in our URL:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?myncbishare=dukemlib&dr=abstract&holding=dukemlib_fft_ndi&otool=dukemlib

myncbishare=dukemlib [sets our filters]

dr=abstract [was to override the default when pubmed changed its default single citation view]

holding=dukemlib_fft_ndi [is our linkout buttons (dumclonline and dumcl stacks)

otool=dukemlib is our serials solutions link resolver (get it at duke)

Instructions are online for sharing NCBI preferences - http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/jf09/jf09_my_ncbi_shared_settings.html
