VENDOR CANDIDATE EVALUATION

Overview:

It has been acknowledged by the NJ SIM Executive Committee (EC) that the evaluation and selection of vendor members although a subjective process, should be benchmarked against a value proposition. That value proposition should focus on what benefit the vendor member can bring to the chapter.

In an effort to determine the amount of potential contribution, six candidate qualifying questions were suggested. Each vendor candidate must answer the below questions. The EC will evaluate the value proposition of the responses.

  1. Have you ever been a member of a professional association? Which one(s)? If you have, in what way have you contributed to that association?
  1. Do you know any senior IT leaders who might be a good addition to our membership? How do you know this person (these people)? Will you be willing to introduce your contact(s) to SIM?
  1. Do you see your company being financially supportive of Chapter events, e.g. Annual Golf Outing, CIO Forum, etc…?
  1. What is your personal area of expertise?
  1. At what organizational level do you operate both internal and external to your company? Does your job include a marketing or sales component? If so, please describe.
  1. What value will your membership bring to SIM NJ?
