- The Department of Computer Science & IT organized a workshop on the topic “Online Application” on October19, 2013.
- The Department of Computer Science & IT organized a workshop on the topic “Safer Internet Day” on February 11, 2014.
- The Department of Commerce and Business Management organized a workshop on Tally ERP 9.3 on September 12, 2013 conducted by NIIT. Resource person was Rajesh Thathoo, General Manager Amritsar Institute of Advanced Studies Pvt. Ltd.
- The Department of Commerce and Business Management organized a workshop on “Career Awareness Programme” on October 26, 2013 conducted by Mr Anil Aggarwal, Chairman Amritsar chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

- The Department of Mass Communication and Video Production organized a One-Day Workshop on Television News Production in which a well renowned Producer of News Nation Mr Prabhudha Jain and Mr Munish Devgun, Associate Producer, Aaj Tak, New Delhi, discussed the techniques of news gathering and TV production with the students.
- The Department of NSS organized one day seminar on “Women Empowerment and Foeticide”

IQAC has been continuously encouraging the teaching departments to engage in research work and avail of the grants offered by the UGC to upgrade their know-how. The department of history was sanctioned two chairs under UGC Scheme:
‘Gandhian Studies Centre’ and ‘Ambedkar Studies Centre’ under the UGC Sponsored Epoch Making Socio Thinkers of India during 12th plan period 2013-17.

Plan of Action
IQAC advised the various teaching departments to organize workshop/symposia for the students to sharpen their skills to raise their confidence level so that they are better placed for employability.
Achievements
As per the decision made in the meeting of IQAC regarding skill development of the students, the various teaching departments organized such seminars so that the students are more confident and better placed for employability.

Feedback from the employers i.e., DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi is continuously communicated to the employees of the college through the Principal by the Administrative Office. Any issue requiring view of the employees is discussed threadbare in the meetings of academic council and staff council of the college. Feedback from the students is communicated either directly to the Principal or College Registrar or Prof-In-Charge Administration or mentoring sessions of the students or scholars from or any other platform of the students. Feedback from the students regarding discipline is discussed in the Discipline Maintenance Committee headed by Prof-In-Charge Administration. Feedback regarding teaching learning process or university work or any other issue is addressed by the College Registrar with the help of College Principal. Feedback from the alumni association is taken care of by the Principal or the Academic Council of the College.
