01.01EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Organizing Committee, in cooperation with Provee management and under the aegis of the U.I.M. and authorization of the Norwegian Federation is organizing in Arendal, Norway,
the “Arendal Grand Prix 2005”, which event is:-
Round 3 of the 2005 UIM PROVEE EUROPEAN CUP and
Round 4 of the 2005 UIM PROVEE European cup
GETTING THERE:
Arendal, ARE located in the south of norway.
The nearest airport are kristiansand, it takes 60 minutes by airport shuttle to the event hotel.

01.03 Fuel
Petrol to be filled at Esso Havstad, 1 km east of Dry pit. Also available from seaside.
Diesel is available in the pit, Scheduled in the program.
Fuel is free for race boats. (Max 600 litres during the weekend)
For filling petrol, Pit manager will advice route to the station.
01.04 Insurance
PolicyThe Norwegian Federation insurance covers the event
Covered RisksThe Policy is third party liability only and does not cover “Driver to Driver” or “Race Boat to Race Boat”
LimitThe total cover is NOK 34000 000 any one claim
PS! Each crew member will be charged NOK 350.- for extra insurance.

We are pleased to offer the teams:
Each team will have 3 Double rooms for 3 nights (inklusive breakfast) for free.
Each team will have all other meals for free in Provee hospitality unit.
01.06Noise restrictions and pollutions
Spilling of oil in pit areas and special care in hospitality areas.
Please be aware of that the team hospitality and dry pit are located in Arendals most attractive location. If the teams does not use the covers properly and cause pollution on ground, or cause spilling of oil/ grease in pit area, a fine up to Euro 2.000,- will be charged to the team.
A special place to deliver/put oil or other liquids will be advised to the teams by the pit manager.
IMPORTANT
The entrance fee for the event EUR 1500. -
For teams/boats attending to this venue as the first of the season EUR 2000 will be charged.
Entrance fee to be paid by July 5.
If entrance fee is not paid in time: the free fuel, hotel rooms and food are not available.

Course marks will be described at race briefing, maps and bulletins.
LAID MARKS will be floating orange/yellow 1,5 metre high pillow buoys
IMPORTANT: Danger Zone
No passing zone:
- Extreme caution must be used passing the 3 marked buoys underneath TromoyBridge. No passing will be permitted in this zone.
Course Distance: 5,5 nm
Race Distance: 55 nm.
The Race Length: Start lap + 9 laps
1.07 Race Course Sunday
