Dear Parent,
Parent Consultations for all pupils are to be held during the afternoon and evening of Monday 7th April and Class 2 will be holding additional parent consultations on Thursday 10th April.
A letter regarding parent consultations will be sent home shortly and if you wish to come and discuss your child’s progress with the class teacher please complete the attached pro-forma and return it to school as soon as possible. Appointments are made on a first come first served basis.
Thank you
Mother’s Day will soon be here and there is to be a special Mother’s Day Service on Friday 28th March at 9.15am in Church to which all parents and friends are invited. Although we understand that parents wish to bring younger children to the services, we do ask that they are well supervised and that they are taken out of Church if they become too noisy.
After the service refreshments will be served in school by the PTFA. The PTFA will also be running a ‘Mother’s Day shop’ during the week further details will be sent out soon.
Parents and friends support are always very much appreciated by the school and the next PTFA meeting has been arranged for Tuesday 18th March at 2pm and we look forward to seeing you all there. We would love to see some new faces. Everyone will be made extremely welcome.
If any parent or grand parent wishes to help in school please contact Mrs Cornfield. We always value extra help.
If you would like to order school uniform before Easter please see Mrs Cornfield.
Once again we are collecting, Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers. Please bring them into school and post them into the appropriate box. The collection of these tokens gain valuable free resources for school. Keep looking out for those tokens.
25 Club is to be drawn before Easter. 25 Club is drawn each term for a first prize of £25, a second prize of £15 and a third prize of £10.
Hardly National Lottery prizes but the subscription of £4.00 per term makes a valuable contribution to school funds. If you would like to try your luck please contact Mrs Cornfield as soon as possible.
Please note that the church car park should only be used when you bring and collect your children. The car park should not be used when parents attend the Achievers Assembly. We are extremely fortunate to be able to use this car park and want to maintain the good will.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
A reminder to return all the ‘Design a Mazda 3’ competition entry forms as soon as possible.
Please find attached to the newsletter two questionnaires. One is the annual parent questionnaire which we have discussed at a recent Parent Voices meeting. The questionnaire has been slightly altered from last year and we hope it will be more straightforward to complete. Last year we received 40 completed questionnaires and we would love to exceed this target this year!! They are extremely valuable and help us with school improvement planning.
The second questionnaire is focused on e safety, a very important issue in today’s society. We will be holding two meetings on Wednesday 7th May one from 3.15 – 4.15pm and the second from
5 – 6pm on the same night.
Please complete the parent survey as this will inform us on how your child uses technology.
We would strongly encourage you to attend the meeting and complete the survey.
Don’t forget reading with your child each night makes a massive difference to their reading ability and will help them in every curriculum area. Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely
L Peach
