About Tŷ Heddwch

Tŷ Heddwch(pronounced ‘Tee Hethoock’) is Welsh for ‘House of Peace’. A member of the Retreats Association, it is a small building in the garden of Waen Bach, home of Susan and Chris, situated in the beautiful countryside of North Wales. Our prayer is that all who come to enjoy the peace and beauty of this place will find healing and love: a place of quietness, a place of tranquillity, a place of timelessness to find whatever they are looking for. It may be just a time away from the bustle and stress of daily living; it may be a time of recovery from hurt, pain or loss; it may be a time of contemplation and meditation… Whatever reason you come to this place we hope that you will experience love and peace. Tŷ Heddwch is not specifically for those of a particular faith. Rather it is for anyone who needs to get in touch with their soul and with their Maker.

Directions to Tŷ Heddwch

The address of Tŷ Heddwch is:

Waen Bach

Nantglyn Road

Denbigh

From the south:

M6, M54, Shrewsbury, A5 Oswestry, then either A542 across the HorseshoePass to Ruthin or A483 to Wrexham and then A525 to Ruthin.

Take the A525 to Denbigh. Follow directions to Town Centre. Go through Denbigh High Street and at the mini-roundabout at the end of the shops go straight over. You will then pass Morrisons on your left. *Take the next left hand turning, signposted Nantglyn (B4501). At the T junction (about 100 yards) turn right, signposted Nantglyn. After almost a mile you come to a very significant left hand hairpin bend which goes up hill. Take the next turning right, SP Nantglyn. (This is our road.) After exactly 1.3 miles and soon after a house on the left called Ty Coch, you come to a left hand turning to Peniel (don’t take thisturning). Our drive is on the left immediately past this turning. It is easy to miss and the Waen Bach name sign is on the oaktree on your left as you turn into the drive (ie it's behind you as you turn left). If you get to the white house in front of you called Waen Segrwyd you've missed us!

From the north:

A55 towards Conwy. Leave at junction 28 signposted Trefnant. Continue along a long windy lane. At T junction turn right, over little bridge, soon turn left (signposted Trefnant and Denbigh). At the T junction turn right into Trefnant. At the traffic lights turn left to Denbigh.Through Denbigh Green and at big roundabout take fourth exit (signposted Industrial Estate – this avoids Denbigh town centre). At T junction turn left. Straight across mini roundabout. At next roundabout (opposite the Indian restaurant) turn right. Pass Morrisons on your left. Follow directions from * above.
