Reporting and Interviews

Onsite Reporting

  • While most BFA events are open to reporters, please keep in mind that some are not. Please refer to “Media Agenda” for more information.
  • The Media Center will help with interviews according to the availability of guest speakers. Please refer to the notices in the Media Center.
  • There will be media seating areas for all events open to reporters - please sit in the designated areas.
  • At all venues, there will be platforms set up expressly for the purpose of taking photos and filming - please be sure to keep to those areas.
  • Please keep in mind that some events may have restrictions on the use of flash photography.

Dining

  • We provide coupons for meals at Qianzhou Bay Hotel, Boao Canal Village--Managed by Kempinski, Le Gourmet, Wan Quan Square in ICC, at designated times. Please pick up your coupons at the Media Center.

Certificate and Security Check

Types of journalist badges:

  • Type A:Access to all open events including the Opening Ceremony on the 15th.
  • Type B:Access to all open events except the Opening Ceremony on the 15th.
  • Live Broadcasting:Access to the Opening Ceremony on the 15th, but cannot take seats in the press area.

Security Check

  • For journalists attending the Opening Ceremony on the 15th,please go through the security check at the gate designated for journalists 1.5 hours in advance.
  • Please cooperate with all security inspections at the conference. For reporters with equipment, please make sure your equipment passes the security check well in advance.
  • All certificates/passes are non- transferable.

Notes

  • Free shuttle services are available between hotels and the conference venue.
  • No one can access the conference venue, Sofitel Hotel or Goldencoast Hotel without a badge. Please wear your badge visibly at all times to facilitate identification and entry into conference venues.
  • If you lose the Pass, please report immediately to the Media Center.

Language and On-site Recording

  • There will be Simultaneous Translation (Mandarin and English) at all panel sessions. Each chair will be outfitted with a headset - please be sure to place the headset back on your chair after using it.
  • English and Chinese recording sockets are provided at conferences and other events betweenApril 14 -16.
