LIBERTY - Pallas Wesley, 69, of Liberty died Saturday at his home.
Born Feb. 7, 1927, in CaseyCounty, he was the son of Mary Vanhook Wesley of Liberty and the late Hugal Wesley. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a retired ColumbiaGulf station operator.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Durham Wesley; two daughters, Mary Bryant of Liberty and Yvonne Beam of Bardstown; a son, Dennis Wesley Sr. of Liberty; two brothers, Archie Wesley of Arlington, Texas, and Bob Wesley of Liberty; two sisters, Eva Wilkinson of Liberty and Ella Mae Brown of Calvary; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at WillowSpringsMethodistChurch by the Rev. Jimmy Wesley. Burial will be in WillowSpringsCemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

MORELAND - Services for John L. Asbury, 74, Hustonville, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Burchett. Burial will be in HustonvilleCemetery.
He died Saturday at EphraimMcDowellRegionalMedicalCenter.
Born Sept. 28, 1922, in CaseyCounty, he was a son of Bertha Neaves Asbury of Indiana, and the late Luther Asbury. He was a retired employee of Hester Feed Store and a farmer. He was a member of House of Praise Mission.
Additional survivors include his wife, Flora Lane Asbury; four daughters, Modene Asbury and Phyllis Pendygraft, both of Junction City, Loraine Darland, Harrodsburg and Lyda Asbury, Hustonville; a son, Gilbert Asbury, Hustonville; five brothers, Charlie, Grover, Edward, Vernon and Chester Asbury, all of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John and Jason Asbury, Scott and John David Pendygraft, Stanley and Dale Phillips and Dawson Sears.
Honorary pallbearers are Estill Payton and David Payton.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today.

WILLIAMSTOWN - Lonnie Elliott, 64, Knoxville-Gardnersville Road, died Saturday at his home from complications of cancer.
Born May 31, 1932, in CaseyCounty, he was retired after 35 years from National Distillery Co. of Cincinnati. He was the son of Gertrude Salyers Bastin of Waynesburg and the late Fred Elden Elliott.
Additional survivors include his wife, Fastine Elliott Elliott, formerly of Casey County; two sons, Kalvin D. and Roger L. Elliott, both of Williamstown; two daughters, Velma Kay Bowen, Dry Ridge, Leslie Gail Griess, Williamstown; a brother, Raymond Elliott, Columbia; three sisters, Catherine Floyd, Waynesburg, Vina Clem, Cincinnati and Juanita Shelly, Yosemite.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Simpson Jr. Burial will be in the HillCrestCemetery, Dry Ridge.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today at Mount Olive Christian Church in CaseyCounty and Tuesday 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of one's choice.

LAYFAYETTE, Tenn. - Lucille Clarkston Adams, 81, Tompkinsville, died Friday at MonroeCountyMedicalCenter.
Born in CaseyCounty, she was a daughter of the late George and Rose Brown Clarkston. She was a homemaker and the widow of Ike Adams.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Wells, Harrodsburg, Ruth Ann Webb, Tompkinsville and Gladys Rearden, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; four sons, Joe Adams and Earl Adams, both of Harrodsburg, Robert Adams, Tompkinsville and James Adams, Red Boiling Springs; two sisters, Ruby Wright and Katerine Green, both of Lebanon; two brothers, Johnny Clarkston and William Clarkston, both of Lebanon; 33 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sunday at Phillip Anderson and Sons Funeral Home, Red Boiling Springs, by Wayne Watson. Burial was in ElderCemetery, CaseyCounty.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Born July 6, 1931, in CaseyCounty, he was a son of the late John and Janie Johnson Beldon. He was a farmer and the widower of Ernestine Baker Beldon.
Survivors include three sons, John Beldon, Liberty, Robert Beldon, Gravel Switch and Franklin Phillips, Hazard; a daughter, Angela Propes, Gravel Switch; a brother, Lewis Beldon, Indianapolis, Ind.; a halfbrother, Charlie Beldon, Liberty; a halfsister, Ellen Kreimer, Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and six step grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Bausman. Burial will be in BakerCemetery, Hazard.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. today.

LIBERTY - Phillip Ray Bowmer, 40, Bardstown, died Tuesday at ColumbiaAudubonHospital.
Born July 22, 1956, in CaseyCounty, he was a son of Vernon Bowmer, Bardstown, and Coleen Lawhorn Wheeler, Bardstown. He was a construction roofer.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Sammye Wheeler, Bardstown; a sister, Seleta Pangburn, Bardstown, and a grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Jesse Long. Burial will be in TraceForkCemetery.
Pallbearers will be Delano Meeks, Jimmy Rodgers, Junior Gilpin, Mike Martin, Richard Pangburg and Harold Walker.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday.

She died Friday at her home.
Born March 28, 1905, in CaseyCounty, she was the daughter of the late John and Sally Helm Overstreet. She was a homemaker and a member of ShadyGroveBaptistChurch. She was the widow of Coy Davis and was preceded in death by a daughter, Velma Davis.
Survivors include four sons, Vernon Davis of Liberty, Deward Davis of Archdale, N.C., Calvert Davis of Finnytown, Ohio, and Larry Davis of Florence; five daughters, Mildred Cochran and Etwell Davis, both of Liberty, Fay Woodrum of Westchester, Ohio, Carol Vaughn of Dunnville and Teresa Combs of Cincinnati; one sister, Lucy Sinclair of Cincinnati; 29 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

LIBERTY - Howard Taft Moore, 87, of Hustonville Street died Friday at CentralBaptistHospital in Lexington.
Born Nov. 15, 1909 in CaseyCounty, he was the son of the late William and Cora Branson Moore. He was a long-time educator in CaseyCounty, having served as a school teacher, principal and superintendent. He belonged to the First Christian Church. He was the widower of Mary Rubarts Moore.
Survivors include one son, Charles Moore of Ross, Ohio; one brother, Jason Moore of Liberty; one sister, Flossie Sweeney of Liberty and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Richard Easterling. Burial will be in GlenwoodCemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today.

She died Saturday in Liberty.
Born Dec. 7, 1908, in CaseyCounty, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Maude Gage Lawless. She was a homemaker and a member of WalnutHillBaptistChurch. She was the widow of Rev. Roosevelt Brown.
Survivors include a daughter, Opal Atwood, Somerset; five sons, Ernest Brown, Dillsboro, Ind., Marvin Brown, Louis Brown and Lester Brown, all of Liberty, and Otha Brown, Russell Springs; three brothers, Alfred Lawless, Danville, Ill., Sellis Lawless, Potomac, Ill., and R.B. Lawless, Liberty; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

WAYNESBURG - John Paul Elliott, 81, Fort Logan Extended Care, Stanford, died there Sunday.
Born Dec. 31, 1915, in CaseyCounty, he was a son of the late William and Louvena Wall Elliott. He was a carpenter and a member of Mt. Olive Christian Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Thelma Elliott, Middletown, Ohio, and Martha Steigleman, Loveland, Ohio.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. David Gambrel. Burial will be in SalyersCemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Born Dec. 8, 1914, in CaseyCounty, she was a daughter of the late Polk and Pearl Jones Webb. She was a homemaker and a member of CalvaryBaptistChurch and Silver Bells Sunday School class. She was a member of Mercer County Senior Citizens.
Survivors include, a son, Jay Tate, Leesburg, Ala.; four daughters, Bonnie Richardson and Vergie Richards, both of Harrodsburg, Susie Merriman and Esther Carey, both of Burgin; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Mark Baldauff. Burial will be in SpringHillCemetery.

He died Tuesday at EphraimMcDowellRegionalMedicalCenter.
Born Jan. 16, 1919, in CaseyCounty, he was a son of the late Jim and Virginia Fox. He was a retired farmer and belonged to StanfordChurch of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife, Josie Marie Atwood Fox; five sons, Freddie, Marshall and Leonard Fox, all of Stanford, Kenneth Fox of Independence and John William Fox of North Vernon, Ind.; a daughter, Wilma Ann Napier of Hermitage, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven step grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy, Stanley, Anthony and Kenny Ray Fox, Mike Warren, Marshall Lynn Napier, Ashley Phillip, Bobby Dugin and Jackie Hazlett.

Survivors include her husband, George Hixson; four daughters, Carolyn Toller and Marolyn Hines, both of Middleburg, Ann Wilder of New Jersey and Louise Hixson of Hustonville; four sisters, Lois Johnson of Hilliard, Ohio, Mary Bowman of Fredericktown, Mo., Naomi Silcott of Seaman, Ohio, and Marie Lanham of Middleburg; two brothers, Joe Luster of Cincinnati and Lewis Luster of Sabina, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted today at MiddleburgCemetery by the Rev. Don McWhorter.
Bartle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born Aug. 30, 1936, in CaseyCounty, he was the son of the late Jacob and Delilah Byrd.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Byrd of Harrodsburg and Glenn Byrd of Lexington; two daughters, Beverly Robins and Judy Bartleson, both of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Thelma Lister of Harrodsburg, Aileen Grider and Lucretia Lane, both of Casey County, and Patsy Schobel of Danville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Myrtle Coffey Combest, 96, of Shelby Street, Junction City, died Friday at EphraimMcDowellRegionalMedicalCenter.
Born Jan. 9, 1901, in CaseyCounty, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Nannie Tillman Coffey. She was the widow of Wyatt Combest and was a former schoolteacher, homemaker and member of Junction City First Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Jim Combest of Junction City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two-great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with John Rasel officiating. Burial will be in DanvilleMemorialGardens.

Survivors include two sisters, Sylvia Lynn and Patricia Lee, both of Liberty; three brothers, Iman Cochran of Hustonville, Frank Cochran and Roger Cochran, both of Liberty.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Williamson Rogers; two daughters, Teresa Vinson of Shelbyville, Ind., and Debra Johnson of Franklin; three sons, Buell and Randy Rogers, both of Franklin, and Jimmy Rogers of Trafalgar, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Shirlene Thompson of Liberty and Yvonne Houghton of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Alton and Glen Rogers, both of Trafalgar; 16 grandchildren and six step grandchildren.

Born Feb. 11, 1911, in CaseyCounty, he was a son of the late Orville and Augusta Waldner Carman. He was a retired Elliott Transportation Company employee and was a member of DeltonaBaptistChurch where he was a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Reid Carman; two daughters, Jean Carman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Carol Carman of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Dale Carman of Fayetteville, Ohio, and Junior Carman of Beech Grove, Ind.; a sister, Doris Peyton of Hustonville; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. E.M. Helton. Burial will be in HustonvilleCemetery.

Survivors include three sons, George McQueary of Jeffersonville, Ind., Albert McQueary of Junction City, and Aubrey McQueary Jr. of Harrodsburg; five daughters, Audrey Foulk of Jeffersonville, Ind., Pauline Tyler of Mercer County, Diana Heinly of Valley Station, Effie Hamner of Lancaster and Dorothy Schlenker of La Grange; a brother, Jesse Luster; four sisters, Goldia Lopez of Lawrenceburg, Effie Gardner and Dorothy Fields, both of Harrison, Ohio, and Alma Sherrill of Yosemite; 28 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three infant children and a daughter, Deva Marie Bottom.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
