Central Skagit Medic One Job Posting
The Central Skagit Medic One is currently seeking applications for positions ofParamedic. The EMT-Pperforms tasks in accordance with Washington State Department of Health standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide proficient advanced life support procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, inventory and routine maintenance.
- Promote ethical confidentiality standards within the organization and insure quality patient care at all times.
- Participation with the community, CountyEMS agencies, local hospitals, and other EMS personnel as needed.
- Attends continuing education and refresher training programs as required by medical direction and/or Washington State Department of Health.
- Performs assigned responsibilities in accordance with established protocols and procedures, with close to moderate supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- WA State – current Paramedic Certification, required
- Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license.
- Strong emphasis placed on experience, abilities and personal attributes.
- Minimum two years field experience as an EMT-Paramedic is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Be knowledgeable of local, federal and state EMS laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Must be familiar with all equipment on vehicles.
- Knowledge of work to be performed, possess the ability to supervise the work of others and exhibit a positive attitude.
- Must demonstrate proficiency as a competent EMT-P.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with a high sensitivity to the needs of others.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE:
According to CSMO and IAFF Local #3427 agreement, wages dependent on experience, employer provides 100% of major medical and dental insurance of the employee, and lucrative employer retirement contribution with employer “match” possibilities.
