Jamie Copeland

My name is Jamie Copeland and I am a parent with two children that attend St Gregory’s, my eldest child is currently in year 5 and the youngest in year 2.

Quite a few years ago, I also went to school at St Gregory’s and have many great memories. Since then,it’samazing to see how well the school has evolved and today I feel that St Gregory’s is a fine example of a local primary school and it seems that Ofsted agree.

I genuinely feel lucky and proud that the children of St Gregory’s are getting a great start to their education. However I am aware that to achieve this level of quality and success there must be a huge amount of preparation, planning and quality decision making that goes on at parent representative level and above.

I feel that I have many skills to offer as a parent representative, to help the school with its constant continual improvement

I am a managing director of a successful company. In strivingfor success, I recognise the value of being able to work as part of a team, the importance of making informed decisions and I am constantly looking forward at new opportunities to make a better future. These are just a few of the skills that I can bring to the school, to help add value to the current board of academy representatives.

As a parent I would like the opportunity to help St Gregory’s to continually improve over the coming years. If I didn’t believe I could assist with this, I would not put myself forward for this position. If I am fortunate enough to be elected, I strongly believe that I can make a difference for the school and the students

Many thanks for taking the time to read my statement above.

Ciaran-Paul Redmond

My name is Ciaran Redmond and I am a parent to 2 children at St Gregory’s academy. I strongly believe that a partnership between parents and school is essential for providing the best learning experience for our children. I have worked in primary education for 13 years – the last 5 of which have given me the opportunity to strategically lead change within my own academy and advise others as assistant Headteacher. As parent academy representative I will ensure that the voice and opinion of parents will be fairly represented and that our children will continue to receive a high quality education in a supportive and enjoyable environment

Darren Ohlweiler- Seabridge

I have always taken an interest in St Gregory’s school and have attended the Parent Forum since it first started many years ago.

I am a retired civil servant with experience of preparingfor and attending meetings with Regional Directors, dealing with large amounts of paperwork and dealing with complex issues, governmentdirectives, targets and legislation

I feel that I have the skills and experience that would allow me to make a valuable contribution to St Gregory’s Catholic Academy
