Pathology Report
FINAL DIAGNOSIS:
*** SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT ***
(Previous signout date: ******)
After the discussion with Dr. ******, deeper levels (A and B) and
stains (A) were performed. In specimen A, there is a minute myxoid
tissue fragment in the edge of the blood clot, which does not show
elastin fiber on VVG stain. The SMA stain is negative. It most likely
represents a minute native endocardial tissue. There is no evidence of
myxoma, fibroelastoma, or fibroelastosis in the sample. The case was
reviewed by Dr. Jenings in consultation and Dr. ****** was notified of
the finding on date ******. fxy
