Student Services Coordinator
Division / Function: School / Reports To : Deputy Principal/Business Manager
Why / Job Summary:
  • To act as secretary to the Principal and Deputy Principal and provide secretarial support to other staff as required

What / Main Accountabilities
  • Answer referral queries
  • Support Principal with all admissions processes
  • Liaise with local authorities and NAS contracts team in drawing up contracts and individual placement agreements.
  • Support transition processes related to pupils
  • Keep up to date all paperwork related to annual reviews, transitions, admissions and referrals
  • Ensure all annual review and LAC reports and minutes are collated, distributed and stored.
  • Maintain admissions register
  • Set up and maintain class registers and support Deputy Principal in managing attendance issues
  • Set up and maintain pupil files and ensure pupil data is stored in line with data protection.
  • Liaise with transport departments as required.
  • Organising pupils’ health care visits, e.g. dentist
  • Arranging interpreter / translation of documentation
  • Organise transfer of leavers’ pupil records
  • Update all pupil lists, contacts, consent forms, etc.
  • Produce termly newsletter
  • Liaise with local authorities, parents, visitors and others by telephone and in person
  • General administrative duties eg taking minutes of meeting, maintaining effective filing systems, reception etc
  • Supporting other admin functions eg HR And Finance when necessary

Experience
  • Experience of providing effective administrative support
  • Experience of delivering good customer service to a range of stakeholders
Education & certification
  • Level 3 qualification in business administration (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards
  • GCSE level C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
