QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN REPLY

21.Mr R S Stevenson to ask the MEC responsible for Human Settlements, Safety and Liaison:
(1)Whether the (a) Rocklands and (b) Seaview satellite stations in the Kabega Park area were fully operational as at the latest specified date for which information is available; if not, (i) why are these satellite stations currently serving only as contact points and (ii) what are the further relevant details in each case;
(2)whether any steps have been or are to be taken with a view to (a) addressing this situation and (b) ensuring the satellite stations in question operate in accordance with South African Police Service (SAPS) operational standards; if not, why not; if so, (i) what steps and (ii) when;
(3)whether police vehicles are being used to transport SAPS members to and from these satellite stations and their place of residence; if so, on what authority are police vehicles being used for this purpose;
(4)whether she has been informed that up to four hours per shift are being used to transport SAPS members at the Kabega Park police station, resulting in these members not serving their full shift times; if so,
(5)whether any steps have been or are to be taken with a view to (a) investigating this matter and (b) ensuring that these members adhere to their full shift times; if not, why not; if so, what steps;
(6)whether her Department had received any complaints relating to the functioning of the Kabega Park police station as at the latest specified date for which information is available; if so,
(7)whether these complaints have been (a) addressed and (b) resolved; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details in each case;
(8)how many vehicles (a) are currently allocated to the Kabega Park police station, (b) should be allocated to this police station and (c) were fully operational as at the latest specified date for which information is available;
(9)how many SAPS members are currently (a) allocated to and (b) serving at the Kabega Park police station;
(10)whether her Department has received any reports relating to high staff absenteeism at this station; if so, what steps are being taken to address this situation;
(11)how many of the vehicles allocated to the Kabega Park police station are available (a) to attend to complaints received and (b) for general crime prevention in the area?
22.MrD B Haddon to ask the MEC responsible for Human Settlements, Safety and Liaison:
(1)How many persons in the province had applied for financing from the Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme (FLISP) as at the latest specified date for which information is available;igh School in Venterstad pertaining to irregularities at this school
(2)whatamount in financing has been paid out (a) in total and (b) to each successful applicant;
(3)whether any applicants had been refused FLISP financing in the province as at the latest specified date for which information is available; if so, (a) how many, (b) why and (c) what are the further relevant details in each case?
23.Mr D B Haddon to ask the MEC responsible for Local Government and Traditional Affairs:
(1)How many Thusong ServiceCentres (a) have been planned for the province and (b) were operating in the province as at the latest specified date for which information is available;
(2)whether all these service centres in the province were operating at full capacity as at the latest specified date for which information is available; if not, (a) why not and (b) what are the further relevant details in each case;
(3)whether any steps have been or are to be taken with a view to (a) investigating and (b) addressing the performance of Thusong Service Centres in the province; if not, why not; if so, what steps?
24.Mr D B Haddon to ask the MEC responsible for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform:
(1)Whether there are any State farms in the Balasi Village area in Bhisho; if so, (a) how many,(b) what are the names of the farms in question and (c) under which municipality do these farms fall;
(2)whether these farms are currently under the control of the municipality in question; if so, what are the relevant details?
