DANCE CONCERT REMINDER

DANCE CONCERT IS NOT AN OPTION. THE CONCERT IS PART ONE OF YOUR FINAL EXAM FOR DANCE CLASS. BOTH THE DRESS REHEARSAL AND CONCERT ARE MANDATORY.

BOTH THE DRESS REHEARSAL AND CONCERT WILL BE HELD IN THE MTHS AUDITORIUM.

DATES / TIMES:

  1. AFTERSCHOOLDRESS REHEARSAL: Wednesday December 9th 3:55-6:00 pm in MTHS Auditorium

(ARRIVE IN FULL COSTUME FOR YOUR FIRST DANCE. Makeup optional).

  1. CONCERT: Thursday December 10th 6:00 – ending, in MTHS Auditorium. (Show starts at 7:00)

(ARRIVE WITH HAIR AND STAGE MAKEUP READY at 6:00 in the old building DO NOT GO INTO AUDITORIUM)

Parents and guest may not enter the auditorium until 6:30p.m. They are not allowed in the old building (dressing area)

**PLEASE NOTE: The concert begins promptly at 7:00p.m. There is a $5.00 admission fee in order to assist with concert expenses. WE ACCEPTCASH ONLY

THE DO’S AND DON’TS OF THE CONCERT

Once you arrive at Mount Tabor for the dance concert please report directly to your assigned dressing area and remain with your class until your class is called onto the stage. Please complete your homework or mentally practice until you are called onto the stage. Keep all of your personal items with you, especially your costume. Please do not leave your dressing area for any reason. DON’T BRING ANYTHING OF VALUE WITH YOU!

DO:

  • Arrive 5 minutes early before all scheduled events.
  • Arrange transportation before the concert. You are responsible for providing transportation. Inform dance teacher immediately if you need assistance with transportation.
  • Optional- Purchase the concert dance T- shirt: T- shirts will be on sale during class and will be given out the week of concert--Wear your dance T-shirt to school on the day of the concert
  • Attend and participate in both dress rehearsals and the concert.
  • Arrive and depart on time: You must sign in when you arrive
  • Remain the entire duration of all rehearsals and concert.
  • Return all borrowed costumes before you leave school.
  • All family and friends pay a $5.00 admission fee toward our annual costume fund- raiser.
  • Bring a disposable snack and drink to eat outside the auditorium before rehearsals.
  • Absolutely no food or drink in the auditorium
  • Have a wonderful time and do your best.
  • LISTEN AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS

DON’T:

  • Don’t Visit with friends and family at anytime during the dance concert.
  • Don’t wear your costume to the concert or to class (bring it with you).
  • Don’t bring money or anything of value with you during concert or rehearsals.
  • Don’t leave your designated area during dress rehearsal or the concert. Stay with your class!
  • Stay back stage after you perform.
  • DON’T WHOOP, YELL, SCREAM, HOLLAR, OR BE DISRESPECTFUL TO THE PERFORMSERS AT ANY TIME!!!!!!
