Monday: Take a spelling pre-test. Write the words you got wrong three times. Spell carefully & correctly!
Tuesday: Write a story about visiting a city of your family’s heritage. If you have never visited a city, write about Eagle Rock. Be sure to mention the multicultural atmosphere here!
Wednesday: Write definitions of: adore, mortal, import, export, parcel, passed, pour, poor, orbit, afford, mortal Thursday: Practice for the test!

This week you will pick your own quote of the week to write about. Try to remember a favorite saying your family says at home. If you can’t think of one, ask your family to help you. If the saying is in another language, write the quote in a foreign language, and bring to class to share, but also try and explain the translation of the saying into English. Write two paragraphs for your personal quote, just like we always do.

manager – a person who takes care of (or organizes) an office or a sports team
embarrassed – feeling bad or silly about something one has done
impressed – made to form a high opinion of someone or something
