Try to carpool and park on the upper decks. Enter through the main connection to the hospital from the North Parking Deck, and stay to the right as this will take to you towards the Children’s Hospital. Watch for the “Canticle to the Sun” on the right—a beautiful artistic rendition of the poem by St Francis of Assisi. Your clinical faculty will meet you there.
- Saint Francis Medical Center is working to meet continually changing regulatory requirements, while trying to simplify everyone’s workload. We are currently working to meet the Joint Commission requirement that all students complete an orientation to the Medical Center similar to our employee orientation.
- In order to meet that requirement, we have developed an internet site with our orientation content for students’ use. Orientation consists of 15 short modules, and a post-survey that tracks their completion in our database. The online orientation is found at:
- Some students receive a prompt box asking for a user name and a password. If you do, hit “Cancel” and then X out of the prompt box to gain access. This ‘authentication box’ may appear several times. Just click cancel each time, and you can proceed to the next module. Be sure to click on the link under “STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS” after you have reviewed all the modules to verify you have met the OSF HealthCare Orientation requirements. You will be asked to fill in identifying information to validate your completion of the orientation modules. This MUST BE DONE BY 9/5/2015!!Thanks!
