BECCLES & BUNGAY RC SHOW RULES
Hard hats must be worn and secured correctly at all times whilst mounted & must conform to the current BRC safety standards.
Horses must be 4 years of age and over in all ridden classes.
Show canes & whips must not exceed 70cm.
Rider’s ages taken from 1st January in the current year.
Judges may ride exhibitors’ horses. This will be at the judge’s discretion.
Horses may only enter a maximum of three show jumping classes.
The organisers have the right to split or amalgamate any class at their discretion.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or to substitute a judge without notice.
The judge’s decision is final.
No dogs allowed on the showground.
Objections must be given in writing with a deposit of £10 to the secretary within 10 minutes of the end of the class. The deposit will only be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
The organisers accept no responsibility in respect of any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horse, owner, rider or spectator or to any property whatsoever.
No refunds after closing date without a veterinary certificate.
** CLASS 17 All-rounder pony & horse
To be judged on presentation, turnout, manners and way of going.
Competitors will be required to jump a small course of not less than 2 fences, not exceeding 60cm (2’approx) and to perform a short individual show to include trot and canter.
The entry will be judged on its suitability and potential as a true all-rounder.
Showmanship and etiquette of the rider will be included.
GREENLINKS PORTIA MEMORIAL TROPHY
The Cattermole family donated last year a challenge trophy to the club in memory their much loved pony, Greenlinks Portia, who was an active member of the Beccles and Bungay Riding Club for many years with a number of different young riders.
This trophy will be awarded to the Beccles & Bungay RC Junior member with the most trophy points won at the annual Open Show.
Points are awarded according to the place the member achieves in all classes at the show.
First place = 10 points, Second place = 9 points, third place = 8 points, fourth place = 7 points,
Fifth place = 6 points and 6th place = 5 points.
This is only open to Beccles & Bungay Riding Club Junior members. The trophy will be presented at the clubs Trophy Presentation Evening in November.
