Dear Rogers Primary School Community:
It is so amazing to see the many ways that our families work together to provide activities for our students. I would like to thank all the family members who are working to make our Holidayland Shoppe and our Holiday Workshop a fun activity for our kids. I would also like to thank in advance, all our volunteers for the winter party. I mean it when I say Rogers Rocks!
On the back of this sheet, I have included some resources for ways to help your child become more successful with their math skills. Once in a while I hear that Common Core Math is a mystery. The bottom line is that math facts are still math facts, but we seek to develop both students’ mathematical understanding and their procedural skills so that they may be fully prepared for the future. Our goal is to empower our students so that they have strategies and skills to solve problems. Our MaGraw-Hill My Math series has many resources that can be used with students at home. Please contact your child’s teacher for additional information.
