Particle Motion Inquiry Lab Report
Due Wednesday 10/26
Directions:Type a final report with each section listed below, a template for typing can be found on Miss Maxwelll’s website to help you.
Data and Observations: Recreate the data chart from our lab. If hand writing your report be sure to use a ruler.
Analysis: Answers all of the lab analysis questions in complete sentences.
Claim Evidence Reasoning: Use your notes from the lab to write a CER, be sure to include the information below, and write in the proper format.
Question: How are temperature and particle motion related?
Claim- "If temperature increases, then particle motion will ______.” (Doesn't need to match hypothesis, should match lab outcome based on data and observations).
Evidence-Describe your data and observations in the lab, do not explain- simply report. "In the lab..."use qualitative (observations of beakers) and quantitative data (temperatures) of both the hot and cold beakers.
Reasoning- How do the data and observations you saw in the lab prove your claim? Tie your evidence to your claim. “Therefore”
