Title:Network Support Co-ordinator
Responsible to:Network Support Manager
Main Purpose:To support Headway groups and branches achieve their objective ofproviding sustainable, high-quality services to brain injury survivors and their carers
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours:35 hours per week, with requirement to work occasional evenings and weekends
Location: Various
Annual Leave:25 days per annum excluding bank holidays
Key tasks
- To act as the key support worker for a cluster ofHeadway groups and branches and with other groups and branches when necessary.
- To support Headway groups and branches to maintain high standards of service delivery through working within the Headway Minimum Standards framework and within Local Authority/Council contracts and Service Level Agreements.
- To work closely with groups and branches and their governing bodies to monitor areas of risk such as complaints, employment/HR issues, and unsatisfactoryservice delivery, and to advise and investigate if appropriate.
- To provide intensive support to groups and branches facing difficulties, if necessary through direct assistance by managing or delivering their services.
- To developand maintain excellent working relationships with groups and branches, relevant agencies and stakeholders to ensure co-ordination of care and support for brain injury survivors.
- To map and monitor group and branch services, identifying patterns of changing provision and the potential for developing new groups and develop as appropriate.
- To encourage groups and branches to actively participate in Headway campaigns, events and activities such as The Way Ahead, Action for Brain Injury Week, and the Headway Annual Awards.
- To contribute to raising awareness of brain injury among groups, branches and the wider community by providing training and information as agreed.
- To attend regional, local group and branch meetings,team meetings, all-staff meetings and training opportunities as required. This may require some evening and/or weekend working with occasional overnight stays.
- To produce detailed reports for the Network Support Manager,Director of Services or others as required.
- To ensure Headway groups and branches are aware of and formally acknowledge relevant codes of conduct, such as the Headway Solicitors Code of Conduct and the Trustees Code of Conduct.
- Support and encourage groups and branches to complete the returns and updates as required by Headway UK.
- To act as a Headway UK representativeata local leveland enhancethe reputation of the charity at all times.
- To promote good practice in Equal Opportunities throughout the group and branch network.
- To undertake such other reasonable tasks as may, from time to time, be deemed necessary.
