The number of spines on the carina was scored as: 0, without spines; 1, spines over the complete carina; 2, between one and ten spines. For the terminal curved spines at the sulcus the absence (0) or presence (1) was scored and the shape of the sulcus was scored as semicircular (0) or triangular (1).
