PINNACLE 6 – Add Subscriber (Individual), Inventory, Recurring Charge, One Time Charge andService Process
At MicroSoft Windows screen:
- Login into Pinnacle 6 following login process
To verify if a subscriber name exists before adding them to Pinnacle
- Click on Subscribers (at top of form)
- Clickon Subscribers (in blue)
- Tab toFirst Name and Last Name
- Click on Search
To add a new subscriber (individual) – See Page 5 for example of adding new subscriber screen
- Click on Subscriber (at top of form)
- Click on Create (at top of form)
- Tab toFirst nameand enter
- Tab to Last nameand enter
- Tab to Departmentand enter number of department
- Tab to Subscriber Group field
- Enter appropriatesubscribergroup (i.e., ST Storrs or BR Branch)
- Tab to billing cycle field
- Enter appropriate billing cycle (i.e., Storrs or Branch)
- Click on Save
Note: A Pre Order is required to add a phone (service) – See Page 6 for example of pre order screen
- Scroll down to Work Orderslink (in lower blue bar)
- Click on Create Pre Order
- Tab to Type select RO (record work order)
- Tab to Action select ADD
- Tab to Add options
- Verify Add a Service is checked off. If not, Click mouseon box to select
- Click on OK
- Tab to New Service link (in blue bar mid-screen) See Page 7 for example of screen
- Click on Assign
- Click on Create Service
- Clickon Next
- Clickonradial button forVoice(at lower end of list)
- Clickon Nextlocated next to Voice
- Enter phone number desired (if known or can select specific status such as Available, Dormant, etc)
- Clickon Search
- Clickon radial button for desired phone number
- ClickonNext
- Enter Assign Date (i.e., 6/1/2010) for the beginning date service assigned
- ClickonNext
- Click radial button of No Location
- ClickonNext
- Clickon Save
Note: Inventory (phone sets) can be added through Service Catalog
Exception to using Service Catalog for adding phones –
B012 – Branch locations (outside vendor used) so phones will be added through Recurring Charges– not through Service Catalog. Charges are handled differently for branches versus main campus.
- Scroll down to Service Catalog (in lower blue bar)
- Clickon Assign
- Clickon Search
- Click onbox for desired phone set
- Clickon Assign Checked
Note: Pre Order must be converted to add Recurring Charges, One Time Charges, Inventory (phone)
- Click on Assign
- Clickon Convert
- Clickon OK
- Go to Inventory (in blue bar at top)
- Click on Reserve
- Tab to Select(at Class prompt)
- Click on TP (Telephone) – in this case adding a phone set
- Click on OK
- Click on Next
- Click on Phone Set Desired
- Tab to Count field to verify number of sets is accurate
- Click on Next
- Tab to Select Technician to assign technician name (i.e., Cindy Desloge
- Click on Next
- Click on Pick Upnext to Reserve (in blue at middle of Inventory screen)
- Click onbox next to phone set being selected
- Click onNext
- Tab to Select Technician to assign technician name (i.e., Cindy Desloge
- Clickon Finish

- Scroll to Assigned on Inventory Screen (in blue bar in middle of screen)
- Clickon InstalltoNew
- Clickon radial buttonfor phone being assigned
- Clickon Finish
- Click on Close
- Enter completion date (i.e., 8/10/2010)
Note: To enterRecurring charges. See Page 9 for example of Recurring Charge screen
- Click on Recurring (in blue bar at top of form)
- Clickon Assign Charge
- Enter Charge Code (i.e., VM – Voice Mail)
- Enter Assign Date (date service to begin)
- Clickon Save
To enter additional Recurring charge(s), follow steps 69 – 72
Note: To enter One Time Charge(s). See Page 10 for example of One Time Charge screen
- Click on One Time (in blue bar at top of form)
- Clickon Assign Charge
- Enter Charge Code
- Tab to Charge (under Pricing)
- Enter Charge
- Tab to Assign Date
- Enter Date (i.e., 6/1/2010)
- Click on Save
To enter additional One Time Charge(s), follow steps 74 – 80
Verify services added such as Inventory, Recurring Charges and One Time Charges added to this subscriber.
To verify these charges/services
Scroll to Inventory, Recurring Charges and One Time Charges (in blue bars below to see the charges/services added for this subscriber). May need to expand service by clicking on +(plus sign)next to service to see detail.
