Job Opening: Lincoln City ReStore Assistant Manager

Organization Description: Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County affiliate was founded in 1995 as an independent, non-profit organization that builds low-cost housing and provides critical home repairs to low-income families throughout Lincoln County, Oregon. In addition to our home building/rehab programs, Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County operates two ReStores, (a trademarked Habitat for Humanity funding source) in Lincoln City and Newport that accepts donated building materials, furniture and appliances and re-sells those items to the public at a much reduced cost. ReStores provide much needed program revenue for the affiliate, affordable home maintenance options as well as diverting millions of pounds of reusable items from your local landfill.

Classification:Full-time, non-exempt

Hours:40 hours per week (Tuesday through Saturday)

Location:2150 SE Hwy 101, Lincoln City, Oregon

Rate of Pay:$12.00 per hour

Position Description: The Lincoln City ReStore Assistant Manager will join a highly functioning ReStore team to help manage the day to day operations of a Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County Lincoln City ReStore re-sale store. This position will work with the ReStore Manager to ensure compliance with all HFHLC policies, procedures and safety standards and accident procedures. This staff member will work directly with the ReStore Manager, ReStore Driver/Donation Coordinator and ReStore volunteers to ensure that the ReStore is adequately stocked with appropriate staff and resale products, ensure that quality customer service is provided, donations are cultivated, while providing customer service and cashiering services as needed.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work in conjunction with the ReStore Manager to facilitate a positive, team-oriented environment in which all staff/volunteers are given the ability to achieve their full potential.
  • Supervision of ReStore Driver/Donation Coordinator and ReStore volunteers.
  • Work in conjunction with the ReStore Manager to development marketing and advertising strategy for ReStore that is integrated with the overall HFHLC marking and advertising strategy.
  • Work with the Lincoln City ReStore Manager to provide accurate accounting to record revenues, expenses, approval and coding of payable invoices and ReStore sales figures.
  • In conjunction with ReStore Driver/Donation Coordinator, train and manage ReStore staff and volunteers, in accordance with established HFHLC policies, and coordinate volunteer schedules.
  • Ensure staff/volunteers are well versed about Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County’s programs and local activities.
  • Develop relations with existing and potential donors to increase the quality and quantity of donations in order to maintain full inventory.
  • Display and market items in order to facilitate quick sales and fast turnover of donated items
