Explanatory notes

Definition

Enterprise procedures refer to the documented procedures used by the organisation carrying out the work and applicable to the tasks being carried out. They may include but are not limited to – standard operating procedures, site safety procedures, equipment operating procedures, codes of practice, quality assurance procedures, housekeeping standards, charging of time and materials, management of drawings and documentation, procedures to comply with legislative and local body requirements.

Outcome 1

Perform analytical tests on glass containers.

Evidence requirements

1.1 The potential hazards of glass container analytical testing are identified, and precautions are taken in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range analytical tests include but are not limited to – capacity, container dimensions, thermal shock, impact, vertical load.

1.2 Glass container samples and equipment are prepared for analytical testing in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range analytical tests include but are not limited to – capacity, container dimensions, thermal shock, impact, vertical load.

1.3 Glass container samples are tested in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range analytical tests include but are not limited to – capacity, container dimensions, thermal shock, impact, vertical load.

1.4 Analytical test results are recorded and reported in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range analytical tests include but are not limited to – capacity, container dimensions, thermal shock, impact, vertical load.

1.5 Glass ring samples are cut and dispatched for laboratory testing in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Outcome 2

Audit and re-sort quarantined glass container production.

Evidence requirements

2.1 Re-sorting of quarantined production is performed in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range automatic sorting, manual sorting.

2.2 Auditing and re-sorting documentation is completed in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Outcome 3

Issue production line quality control requirements.

Evidence requirements

3.1 Product master specification including historical information is selected according to job change and issued to production line staff in accordance with enterprise procedures.

3.2 Product specification requirements are interpreted and measurement equipment selected, calibrated, and set up in accordance with enterprise procedures.

3.3 Production line documentation is completed in accordance with enterprise procedures.
