JOB DESCRIPTION

POST TITLE: Greenacre Academy Trust Administration Manager

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: To the Trust Senior Management Team

JOB PURPOSE: To manage the school office and related activity by working closely with colleagues at the three academies within the Greenacre Academy Trust. The level of need will determine where the successful applicants’ priority will be at any given time.

KEY DUTIES:

  • To design and manage appropriate administrative systems.
  • To support the work of senior staff as required.
  • To line manage the office staff in each academy.
  • To establish clear systems in order to develop an efficient office in each academy.
  • Ensure there is consistency in office practice within the administrative team.
  • Identify the training and development needs and provide appropriate opportunities for individual development by means of performance management.
  • Undertake whole academy Trust administration and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a business-like office environment and promoting good relationships with staff;
  • To support and build the reputation of the Trust whilst maintaining confidentiality wherever appropriate;
  • To monitor work schedules/cover for staff to ensure an efficient service is available.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the relevant statutory requirements.

To advise senior leaders on the implications and on the best methods of ensuring compliance.

  • Promote high quality service delivery and ensure continuous improvement of all office teams.
  • To line manage site staff as required.
  • To contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by following health & safety instructions and policies;
  • To report accidents and hazards;

Other Responsibilities

  • To be aware of, comply and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection and all other Academy policies across the Trust.

Essential / Desirable

Qualifications and Training

Hold CSBM Qualification / 
Experience
At least 3 years’ experience as a School Business Manager / 
Experience of using Sims / 
Awareness of child protection issues / 
Knowledge and experience of Frist Aid / 
Experience of giving advice and guidance on policies and procedures to senior staff / 
Working with others in developmental work / 
Previous experience working in Schools / 
